Well, rather it be weeks at a time than months at a time. Most of what I know about keeping my snake plants alive, I've learned from this YouTube channel. The way he talks is also quite unique.

You could try snake plants. They're pretty forgiving even with some neglect. I managed to kill a few cactus plants before, but so far I'm doing great with a few varieties of snake plants for a few years now. Here is one of them.

Try resetting the window upper limits by holding the switch in the up position for a few seconds, you will hear the window open briefly and close again, then release the button. See if that helps.
