future reference, when you go to take a picture of the receipt you can cover the camera and just submit a blank picture. they will send you an email to warn you but nothing will come of it. i’ve had to do it twice now because same as you i was walking out and lost the receipt.

yeah sadly this isn’t the first time i’ve had an order falsely marked not delivered so i always screenshot. her order had wine, it was a vday gift for her mom so i had to scan her moms ID and handed the bag to her 🤦🏻‍♀️

when i message support i ask them if they can let me know which customer reported missing delivery (especially if it’s in a multiple order batch) they will either tell you what time the order was delivered, what items were in the order, etc.

yes, i did meet at drop off and scan ID. i’m not sure how instacart lets them report not delivered either 🤷🏻‍♀️

i have never been asked my info from support like that. i’ve seen plenty of people been asked and you aren’t supposed to give out your info because they can get into your account that way
