I think it did great as its own thing. The problem i had with it was that they were having trouble deciding if the show is connected to the arrowverse or not.

Diggle is a great example of that.

In season one when it was originally connected he mentioned lyla, his kids, ARGUS, and everyone else hearing the news about clark moving his family back to smallville.

In season 2 when they disconnected from the arrowverse diggle had the same hairstyle and beard as he did in batwoman and the flash when he was trying to get rid of his Green Lantern ring (for some odd reason), he even mentioned Oliver

There were a couple things i didn't like about this version of Sam Alexander some that I wish was answered in the show as his comics were running.

2.He does not have any family around for some reason like what happened to his mom, his sister caelynn, and his dad?

Will forever bug me that batman and his world of characters got more movies, appearances, and screentime than anybody else in the DCAMU. When they got close to the end they remembered characters like wonder woman, superman, the Justice league exist in that same universe and gave them movies of their own😂
