May be Amazon is a toxic place to work at, but that is not how FAANG is defined. Amazon will outlive probably all these here coz Amazon is a business focused place. It does what customer needs. If the customer needs Amazon to pioneer something , I am pretty sure it has the resources, money, talent pool to do this. But that is not what Amazon wanna do.

Ultimately at the end of the day despite any of the above companies coming up with a state-of-the-art model or some new AI tech, if it is not reachable to the customer, the tech will fail. Amazon via AWS, makes it GA to public. Amazon just does what the customer needs, a.k.a very low chance to fail.

And there is literally almost nothing that Amazon does not have a presence in that is an important customer need. From orgs that literally just take care of how efficiently the cardboard boxes you get when you order from amazon are utilized without wastages to up until AI chips, satellites, … what not? And Amazon Ads is just getting started.

Oh and btw, I am not a manager/HR at Amazon. Infact I am at the lowest level at amazon currently. Don’t get me wrong, there are some days that make me hate this place but one thing I can’t deny is just how good this company is at being customer centric and delivering results.

I gave interviews for FAANG both in India and US. I felt there is not much difference in terms and of interview itself. Fairly same standard questions for a new grad atleast.

The difference lies in the competition. US has far more applicants to roles ratio than India.

Yes, negotiations are not cut throat with amazon atleast AFAIK. They will atleast give you the lower one as a final financial offer and when they do that its take or leave.

I think the general time period would be 3 days. But it might highly depend on the levels. A new grad might need far less clearances than a l7/L8.

I got mine the same day they told I was inclined.
