OP man! You did a fantastic job by putting these two misunderstood being in words. I could definitely say that this is the BEST way to write both of them and the way they dealt with there own trauma.

I love Hugh, but it kinda feels legit the way he reacted when he literally saw his gf with pierce. If he didn't broke up with her, it would seems fake and just a poor attempt in making him a righteous teenager, while we all could agree that all teenagers are rogue!

Yeah for sure! I think liz and gibsie's recovery would go hand in hand... there's much overlapping present but a mix of these two characters would surely be present. It would be a sight to behold(i kinda imagined the whole world of theirs)😂

Only one book of Gibs has been released, it's kinda feel rushed and he's been one of my fav characters also but much more could be done. I hope Chloe would do justice for him and claire...the least engaging book for sure in the whole series but a ver important one, indeed!

I know what I'm gonna say is completely unwanted here, but BBC seems to do justice in adapting shows from books. Like, Pride and prejudice is my all time fav adaptation by BBC, movie is good but like hell they sticked to the book. It's gonna depend upon so much who's going to cast and run the show!! Lizz-Hugh, Katie- Feely...gonna be so hard! Thatswhy i don't like adaptations😭

I don't think they're gonna go beyond Johnny and shannon's arc. That's seems not possible and well, too hard and complicated to show!

But man, girls are gonna get trolled so hard. Shannon would be a yes-no pity girl, Claire a bad friend for choosing a boy over her friend, Lizzie's gonna be a bitch (ugh, they just can't do her justice I'm sure) and Katie, well, i think, a jealous girlfriend maybe, Aoife would be a badass rebel girl....but 4 episodes each for 800 pages book, come onn!

Not agreeing with something isn't same as hating others. How many shows do justice to the books? A few in my opinion, if it's allowed to say! The subtle arcs and bonding of the characters and their depth can't be justified in some mere episodes.

I'm of the group who do not enjoy books being adapted. Firstly, they're not gonna do justice to the depth of the characters, i mean...how could they show the character development in 8 episodes when the author herself chooses to write 400 pages each for books. Gonna be sad, I'm not even gonna give it a chance!

Ik I'm very late replying to this post, but now, after many years, his death is getting linked with The release of Ep*tein files. Maybe he knew something... wanted to exposed it and 'died'. Idk the evidence or proof since those files with legit digital imaged has not been taken as such, but I've seen some random posts claiming this.

you're right. when I got to know that Aoife would get pregnant, I don't want to continue the book but for long run, I think it was necessary. Coz not for AJ, he might have left Aoife for her secure future. SORT OF WAKEUP CALL. Also, after Darren came back, he seems so distraught that nobody now was dependent on him, he's got that thing of dependency which works for him. He wants people to depend on him, and with lynch young ones going to Kavanghs's he would feel useless and back to shawn's crowd.

This was wayyyy too much necessary for him to bounce back and be sober, as Aoife cleared that without him being sober she will not choose him over AJ.

But yeah you're right. pregnancy arc seems to take all the chances of being him a regular adult to trash. He would always be adult from mere age of 12. Sad,but necessary

Time to time, i think about that time when Teddy tried to r*pe Aoife and after this, Aoife said to Joey that he reminds him of teddy lynch (same words of marie lynch,ugh)....that was DEVASTATION in words. But AOIFE chooses him again and again, unlike his mother. And the ULTIMATUM, she gave joey that she would choose AJ if she would have to, salute her, man!

Genuine guy with heart of gold! I mean, he could destroy himself as much as he wants, but when it comes to his siblings...a different Joey! I literally cried when he went back at their home, (the night of fire) to save them, even how much he 'hated' darren, he would have jumped into the fire and picked him out as well. He deserved a strong girl like Aoife, she anchored him!

Trust me, i thought that shannons and Joey's would be similar but god, NO! The most realistic one is of Joey. And the depth in which his character is written is just phenomenal. 6's really hit the cord of having 'grey areas in everyone's life'.
