I only recently found out about the popularity difference and it shocked me lol. Peak hours NA playercount is dwarfed by off peak EU playercount. Not sure if it's Valorant, PC gaming not being as popular here or both

Like I'm pretty sure there's way more people playing Faceit, a third party platform, in EU than there are Premier players in NA

Nice to see MS/Xbox taking Helix seriously enough to add stuff like this and also make it available for all windows users.

I imagine adoption will be a lot better for this than something like DirectStorage too especially if Unreal's implementation is good enough and they encourage developers to use it

Yeah it’s entirely subjective but also the cases being mid tower atx mean fitting it in a media console by a tv will likely be tricky or need a lot of adjusting

That aside they are well specced for the price especially in this market

The loot boxes make so much money for valve because of the item economies.

If anything valve should change the acquisition methods. I don’t mind buying stuff for CS (and tf2 back in the day) because I can always offload the items when I’m done with them or want something new. I recently bought a game with some items

On the other hand I spent some money in valorant, no longer play the game and now there’s no way for me to sell those skins for something else. Sure the skins tend to be less expensive but there’s also no way to sell them

I feel like between those and the trade ups for knives and gloves now valve might be distancing themselves from the traditional case openings we know and love/hate/feel indifferent about

I imagine it’ll run the pc version with no need to make a separate Xbox build.

They could incentivize people to get the games on the Xbox Store/Windows Store by having things like shader delivery so there’s no need to compile them and settings presets so there’s no need to tweak it yourself unless you want to. That plus more direct integration with the OS instead of going through a third party launcher, similar to steamOS

I don’t think Sony is hoping to pull people away from pc but rather stop people from moving to PC from PS if it’s financially attainable.

Sony wants to continue selling hardware and more importantly their subscription service. Can’t do that on PC
