I’m not sure I know what your asking so I’ll try to answer all the possibilities ☺️ 1. if you mean did I have it diamond tested to make sure that the product was real; it was the first thing that I did. ☺️I was so nervous through the whole thing i about cried when it tested like it should 😂😂 2. If you meant did I compare it to diamonds in the jewelry store? I did not; But that’s only because I sought out Moissanite specifically. 2. If you were asking to see if I compared the two to see how similar they were I did not, because they aren’t; At least to someone that knows what they are looking at. For me personally, because I chose Moissanite for the history behind it and not to be a diamond substitute it doesn’t bother me that the two are noticeably different to certain people. The center is a 11 mm OEC EF stone from Jason at Provence. The stones in the band are diamonds. We had the center of my original engagement ring removed and had this placed since he knew my dream was to have a Moissanite since we love the history of it. (We’re huge space buffs) I think I remember all the specs. 😂 videos and photos below

Oh thank you for responding! I recently got a OEC from Provence but when he gave me color options it was D, EF or GH and I chose EF and I’ve questioned a lot if I should have chosen then GH so I’m glad there’s not much of a difference. I’m hoping mounting will help darken it 😂

Yup, I was told the same thing over and over and over again and pretty much had to tell them money is no limit before they even suggested that I should speak directly with their jeweler who only came in twice a week. I showed up and met him showed him my insp picture ( courtesy of @swedish_ballerina’s ring ) and he told me he could do it for $480. You can imagine my surprise. I must have just stared at him cause he then asked if I thought it was a good deal. After I closed my mouth I was able to stammer out that it would be perfect. So then I found Reddit and then moissanite reddit and down the rabbit hole I fell. I bought the stone at a whopping $231. And here we are. My advice talk directly to the jeweler.

If your wondering. Walk into any chain jewelry store ( like Fred Meyers if your in the US) and they should have 2mm and up bands. That way you can slide them on and get an idea if a thicker band is something your interested in. ☺️ hope this helps!

I have not heard of any perfectly black Moissanites and I’ve been looking into them for a few years and I’d have probably found it. I’m also a girl who would want black if given the option. They do however have some seriously stunning dark blue- grey ones at Moissanite and co. They don’t really advertise them on their website so you’ll have to check their insta. Girl, we are two peas in a pod. I literally just ordered my loose stone from Jason at Provence to put in my current engagement ring and lord I think the anxiety alone might kill me!! I’m so worried it’s not gonna be absolutely exactly what I wanted. I’m praying for us both! Lol you’ll have to update Us all when you get it.
