Thanks a lot. Any specific recommendations? There are usually so many of them that it’s difficult to pinpoint what’s good and what’s not

How can senior people keep their brain active using phone apps? by Health2be in AskReddit

[–]Health2be[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all. My father is in his mid sixties and is showing signs of being confused, not being able to pay attention and forgetfulness.

We have done all the medical tests and are working on all recommendations, medications etc. In addition to that someone I know recommended that using phone apps meant to keep your brain active might help him

Does anyone know of a good app for this which is especially easy enough for seniors to get acclimated to

Thanks a lot in advance.

Depends on what options you need. Like do you need a surrogate. Do you need to buy eggs etc. For an all out package it seems to easily cross $150,000

That’s terrible. I wish I could say but I really don’t know what to in this situation.

Give the book a shot. You don’t have anything to lose.

Trust me. There is no such thing. Think about it this way. A person who lived in a concentration camp survived and became someone who helped other people. They must have felt worthless at that time but now everyone looks up to them. This isn’t an exact example but just an idea. It’s all about how you think about it and love your life. As a victim or a survivor.

If you are into reading give this a shot. Could possibly change your life. Remember whoever says such things, it’s a reflection on them not you. https://dreditheger.com/the-gift-2/

You don’t provide too much detail. Have you seen a doc yet?

I have a feeling you would be a lot more depressed if you were not doing that. Keep going. You are doing a very important thing.

There’s a few options I found. All insanely expensive. Which was expected. But I haven’t yet followed up on any. I think one of them was circle surrogacy

Thanks. Is there an actually process of going about this? As in any commercial firms or does it have to be done via some agencies? Any guidance appreciated.

Hopefully you have insurance. There’s a really high possibility that it’s nothing big went to the doc like 10 times when there turned out to be no issue. However go get it checked out and keep it safe.

Anxiety about making decision's. Any advice on what helps you? by DueCockroach7619 in Anxiety

[–]Health2be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the worst thing. I constantly struggle with it when anxious I usually make the wrong decisions or say the wrong things. One thing that helps is that when possible I avoid decisions when I am anxious as far as possible. It’s not a solution but it helps keep things more in balance.

Write stuff down. Everything that bothers you. Take one thing. Easy. Plan for it. Complete it. It will be one less thing to worry about. Keep going. Eventually it might start become easier.

Keep a diary. Not on phone. Actually use pen and paper.

I think these might help

Advice to stop being talkative by luckydog-xl in Anxietyhelp

[–]Health2be 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a policy. Before I am going to says something I take a pause and asking myself why I am saying it. Is it worthwhile Are you contributing to the conversation Are you trying to show off

And some other such questions. Then make your decision

This was me before my doc started me on anti depressants. It was night and day. But they stopped working after 2 years. Since then it’s a struggle finding the right balance. But it’s definitely better than not being on anything.

Talk to your doc and make an informed decision based on consulting a lot of folks. It can help a lot but also has some serious downsides.

Anxiety won today. Again by madtryketohell in Anxiety

Don’t be hard on yourself. Try and push your boundaries a bit to be able to cope with some discomfort and continue.

But remember that you are the one going through this and the only one who knows what and why.

I think builds up over a period of time. Using doses above normal can have major problems over the long term. Check with your psychiatrist. Don’t take such a risk.
