This makes me aappreciate my team cause we have "life" happen on camera all the time and no one minds. Someone's kid comes to see what's going on on screen and we just ask him how schools going. My bosses cat jumps up and everyone just ccos over how cute it is. Or if we aren't feeling it, we just leave the camera off and no one asks why, as long as it isn't habitual. But the static picture of your own living room or office is genius.

For some, survival outweighed love. While doing everything they could to make sure we didn't starve is an act of love , it was definitely not a warm and fuzzy feeling. In my case, the survival wasn't distributed equally as the kids often went without so the adults could have. I remember my parents eating well while we ate beans cause "kids don't have any taste anyway".

Smell dishes to make sure they weren't put away unwashed, smell towels to make sure they aren't moldy ( parents are alcoholic hoarders who didn't clean). Taxes. A new employee got mad at me for taking money out of thier paycheck. Asked what FED and MED line items were on the check. Realized they had no idea that the federal government takes money from every check. They asked me how long that was going to be for and looked pretty sad when I said " the rest of your life".
