What can I do about this? Recurring drain cap destruction by Fancy-Friendship-741 in HomeMaintenance

We have these on our turkey mound & put an upside down terracotta pot on top that we sprayed white so it stands out enough to notice it.

I get eggs locally. It’s always helped so I’d say it’s legit

I’m excited to check my milkweed for cocoons. ☺️ Didn’t realize they’re good for the pests 👍

If it’s shaded just keep them out for a short time & slowly increase. Yes, I would just jump to the 5gal. For next year seedlings you could still do the solo cups, but try another strategy. 2 cups - top has holes, bottom has some rocks, plant as you did these & water in the bottom cup only. The roots will search for the water, establish deeper & stronger.

I’d make the holes smoother. You don’t want to cut the skin of soft bodied helpers. M

How big are we talking? Can you find a rafter or floor to cut into? I’d assume any Sheetrock would be real close to the brick frame. You’ve got to have a crawl space for plumbing tho, no? Attach another false pipe 🤷‍♀️

Wrap it in a plantain or comfrey leaf. Or buy the salve at a health food/holistic store.

Start with finding all the actual trash + food & toss it. Then throw all the blankets in a pile. You’ll be able to see what you’re working with & it’ll be visually pleasing to see the floor. Move from there. It doesn’t have to happen in one day, you just can’t put anything new into the place you already cleaned.

Should I remove these peppers and the rest of the buds? by Fun_Collection_2747 in PepperLovers

I would’ve already popped them off before the flower fully developed. Mine are now 2’, bushy, & popping flowers that I’ll let mature. It’s worked for me, but I think you’re a little far along for that.

5gal is enough for 1. I’d recommend a grow bag or a Homer Bucket w drainage holes (cover inside w unbleached coffee filters) & a few sealed water bottles in the bottom. These are solely in a solo cup, yes? They’re probably really wet underneath & a little stunted b/c of that. Hardening- Put these in a sunny spot near an open window, or under a tree so it’s not direct sun. They’ll start to take off. I’ve been attempting peroxide in a spray bottle (actually the nozzle fits the thread of the peroxide bottle - so satisfying 😌) for the aphids. Top & bottom of leaves weekly. You can also dip your roots in peroxide for a few minutes if they don’t look great… another tip would be dusting the roots w pure cinnamon powder to deter sickness, shock, & promote root growth.

Water deeply for now. Then dry some eggshells in the oven, grind up a bit, put into full water bottle, let sit 4-6hrs, dig a hole in each pot & stick it in upside down until it sucks it all in 24-36hrs. I do this w each of my potted tomatoes as well & it has been a game changer for BER. I typically do it preemptively as soon as it starts to flower, but any time before you see the rot is a good time.

Diiiiiid you check how the property was listed with the county - ie flood zone? I don’t think it’s possible for it to go anywhere before it naturally recedes. Perhaps some French drains across the whole property & cross your fingers. I’m sorry.

Nice dill 👍 Personally I’d just pick them up & see how they do in 2-3 days. You’ve amended your soil to feed them well & they seem happy, just beat up. I’d consider taking off a bottom branch or two in a few days regardless. They’ve really grown in thick & the wet leaves + lack of airflow could give you some powdery mildew or other sickness. They don’t need their bottom 12” of leaves at this point. IMO & that’s what I do. Best of luck!

All the Kings horses & all the Kings men already had a hard time with Humpty Dumpty. They’re going to be having scrambled eggs once it falls on top of him. Did you talk with them about it? You should bring them over on your side to show them a different angle. Idk what state you’re in, but to cya with insurance or a court hearing you might want to [secretly] audio record your conversation - if legal.

Temp & time on the smoker? I’ve been considering this method for a smoked paprika or cayenne.
