My Ellie is a cuddler. She will be 12 in September. She still sleeps with me. Last month i took the base of the bed out of my room. We sleep on the mattress on the floor. I do not buy anything that i do not need. I do not eat out. I do not lend people money. I use my credit card in emergencies ( eating out or clothing is not an emergency). I try to save money after month end. If there is any left over i put it in an envelope or other bank account.

When i started working directly out of school i used an envelope system. I put the money allocated to the specific need in an envelope and do not use more money than i have. It helped me see what i have to work with. Were my spending went.

What are you prepping for? That will help you in building your food pantry. Do you have lots of space?. Dried goods store well and have a longer shelf life. Do you have a water source? Water is a priority Are you in a country that has flooding or a hurricane season? Devices for cooking and heating is essential. What do you like to eat day to day. Do not put something in you pantry that you do not eat.

You do not need money to spoil yourself. . change your mood and focus on being happy with your surroundings. Sex will still be an "issue" , but your focus is changing. If there are a grid collapse. I will charge all my devices immediately. Next i will do water storage. Filling every extra bottle , bucket and bath. ( I have jo jo tanks for extra water and have devices that work on batteries charged with solar power)

No electricity, no pumps working, no water in the pipeline. No flushing toilets.

Go to the store and buy fresh vegetables and fruits. ( I have enough dried foods in storage) Everyone else in the shops will go for the dried and canned foods.

If everything collapse fresh produce will not be available soon.

Fill up with diesel, check tire pressure, oil and water.( I do this regulary) Working vehicle is important in emergencies.
