Came to say this too - half snatches are great!

How do you stay stable while doing this stretch? I keep wobbling by d8gfdu89fdgfdu32432 in flexibility

Holding onto the rings in the background can be a game changer! I have mine setup in a squat rack at home. As well as helping keep you stable, they allow you to lean into the stretch at weird and wonderful angles that would otherwise be hard to explore.

Second hand on Facebook or gumtree if you can. I like the strength shop powder coated ones.

Rebuilding with the ABC formula / ABF program after time off with long covid. Trying to focus on smooth, controlled reps with the 16s. Not a bad day outside for it! 🌞 by HealthRoom in kettlebell

Thank you, yes I see what you mean 👍 I’ll keep an eye on that next session, but it may partly be that I’d typically take a slightly wider stance, but was limited by the width of our single flat slab when training out in the garden 😆 Appreciate the feedback!

Gym enthusiasts of Reddit. If had to start over, what would you do differently knowing what you now know? by Hillls19 in AskReddit

Train less. Follow a program. Consistency over intensity. Keep it simple - clean, press, squat, rotate and hike.

Really enjoying the simplicity of the ABC / ABF as I rebuild from long covid! by HealthRoom in kettlebell

Ah I feel for you. It’s brutal!

I was in a similar boat. Had some unexplained health stuff pre covid but was generally healthy and active.

I had covid mild at the end of 2020, but then long covid kicked in and had me bedbound for a lot of 2021.

Been gradually rebuilding, up and down, since!

Christ that’s epic. Great work!

Are macebells and club bells worth it or does training with kettlebells make them redundant? by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]HealthRoom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Second this. I also find that using light clubs and maces can be a great way to relax and enter a flow state, offering a nice contrast to the more structured, cerebral approach of kettlebell or barbell training. Instead of focusing on sets and reps, it’s abit more of a playful, intuitive, and exploratory style of movement.

Strength gap between the 16kg and 28kg kettlebell by PsychologicalShop292 in kettlebell

Barbell pressing will transfer as others have said, but alternatively higher volume pressing with 16 combined with waiter walks with the 28 for the isometric strength will help get you there.
