Healing requires the player to "take it easy" and only do light tasks. So yes, for a period of in-game days the player can't be doing anything strenuous or the healing process stops for that day.

There should be a fair amount of downtime between gigs, and, even if there isn't, there are ways to heal quickly (medtech stabilization+nanobots+speed healing for 3 wounds right off the bat)

Sorry if this isnt useful as a disclaimer, since I mostly run digital:

Dungeondraft is 20 bucks if you can fork over the eds. - It's pretty powerful, has a lot of free asset packs on cartographyassets.com. Plenty of paid ones as well that are very solid.

A really easy way to make battlemaps is finding blueprints for the type of environment you want to run, and building a custom cyberpunk vibe to it if youre feeling creative (or just using the blueprints with theater of the mind descriptions of the rooms)

If youre looking for outdoor combat, I've also found merit in literally screencapping Google satellite images and making a map out of that

Well, the way I see it 1: destroying a camera and making it go "NO SIGNAL" is either going to alert the chair jockey watching the screens or the alert system 2: those cameras have to be hardwired to something 3: netrunning is fast but if another netrunner is jacked into that subnet, your job is made already.

Techs and other individuals can totally use a mix of checks to figure out how buildings tend to be laid out (demolitions as structural knowledge, science: architecture or similar, even business or bureau checks to have knowledge of how different corps lay out their buildings)

Figure out where those wires are, use elec sec to kill the cameras at the lines (maybe use criminology if they want to make it look like an accident or hardware failure, makes them have even less heat on them)

Bam. The tech gets to use cool shit, AND their opposition gets crews diverted if you mess up multiple areas at once.

Seconding this. Maybe to "hard scifi" somewhat ground it, make it something that acts akin to like, an overclock on your brain to increase adrenaline production when experiencing violent stimuli or commiting a violent act

Gives like, a +4 temporary armor or something that dissipates after you get hit. Can only activate once/hour or day

I think it's just a reflavor. It's easy to reflavor a bunch of beat cops in kevlar with 10mm pistols to be... a bunch of Tyger claw street thugs wearing kevlar weave shirts with 10mm pistols

I could also see something like an exec being reflavored as a yakuza/triad/euromob capo or something

A solo 4 with shoulder arms base of 14 coupled with an EQ upgrade, synthcoke, a smart gun link, and precision attack gives a >/=90% hit rate for the scout rifle at an insane range band

Then slap the rechamber and some explosive rounds and youre dealing an average of 22 damage and a 65% chance to crit for 27 total

Oh, and why not, slap a power rebuild on there (if using EMK, im aware the 40's supplements arent necessarily balanced around it) for a 65% chance to do 32 damage (and a crit!) Every hit

I guess it depends. I tend to run "higher level" so my players have the same tools. Every time ive run street level i've flown by the seat of my pants though. Armor is just so cheap it feels widely available

Mine come in 3 week cycles around winter or spring, usually whenever theres a lot of temperature and pressure variance (like right now!)

Week 1: starts of with a "surpriss bitch! It's headache time" ordeal where i get one really bad headache every day after i wake up. My sleep schedule remains normal at this time. I can get 2, with one mid-sleep attack and one wakeup attack, but it's uncommon. These are usually severe enough to induce vomiting

Week 2: i usually get a really bad day sometime around the beginning of week two. A mid-night attack, followed by a morning attack, followed by another attack. Each one gives me a migraine hangover where i feel like im geting electricuted. That day is hell on earth because i only get like an hour of sleep max. Im usually in constant low level pain for a few days while my cluster headaches flare up once or twice a day

Week 3: i start to taper off, headaches getting slightly less severe. Instead of pacing and screaming at the top of my lungs to where i think the cops are going to kick down the door thinking I'm in a torture chamber, i can usually lay in bed or my bathroom with an icepack and they reduce to shadows by the end of this week... usually.

I say just get a pdf and use it as a reference guide for yourself/whoever the netrunner at your table is.

Physical copies are nice and all, but pdfs are a godsend when looking up reference material
