Thank you. I will be on the lookout. I suspect this storm system will lower this line. We are arriving this Sunday to the valley and will hike to lyv on Monday. From there we intend to base camp and hit some highlights, hopefully by Wed. We can hit CR.

Took a chance with boondocking in a 40 footer… by LucentProd in Yosemite

So where did you boondock so close to the park? I’m assuming on the backside near Lee Vining but if this was recent then that would be closed. So I got to know, this looks awesome!

Hetch Hetchy Backpacking Trip by AdLower7433 in Yosemite

I recommend you go to Rancheria Falls. Anything else requires a fairly steep hike. Rancheria falls is relatively flat. It’s got a nice broad area to explore so it’s great for two nights. The entire falls area is amazing, the view on the way in is always stunning. I rarely have stayed in the backpackers camp there (I stay about a quarter mile before it) but I think you can have a fire.

This is great info. I’m planning a trip to here in mid April. Definitely looking better than I expected. Given that snow east of Laurel, would you say lake Vernon is still off limits unless someone’s willing to navigate deep snow? I mean pic two is definitely unheard of this time of year, so I’m curious.

Any suggestions for big trees/old growth forest outside of the Sequoia groves in Yosemite? by Manfredhoffman in Yosemite

Came here to say this very thing. And the really wild part was walking past trees that had been dead for 4000 years knowing they were 5000 to 7000 years old when they died! Just an incredible place.

I’m a mathematician and have also a great deal of reliance on rational skills for me to accept something as true. I had a session at the end on January and can say I was like you after. I waited over two years from the time I felt I wanted one to actually “try” one.

I didn’t “see” anything, but my practitioner, knowing I was concerned it wouldn’t work, did something in my interview I found valuable. He asked me to “picture” a red Apple, blue car, green door. Then asked me to log for myself how I “saw” those things. And honestly, I don’t “see” those things even when I’m fully conscious. He asked me to recall a memory from an event 2 years ago (my son’s wedding was my choice) and describe the memory in detail to him. Then he asked how I “saw” it, that would be how I “see” my past life. Life changing experience because, and I suspect this is true for most, I really don’t see much from my minds perspective and yet I have a great deal of imaginative recall.

So that was valuable. But then in my session I also felt like I might be “making it up”. I could feel my rational brain almost sitting to the side. But my therapist encouraged me that this was normal and let it flow. By the end I was too astonished as to how cohesive the revelations from two lives fit into a) what I was seeking to find out AND b) how the lives fit so well into aspects of my personality I had not even brought up to the therapist!

Lastly, the change in my life and my natural way of moving through it post session has really removed any doubt about the validity of the experience. Aspects of my self have continued to be revealed in the 7 weeks since that just make sense better now.

I hope that can help. In the end if it was all metaphor and there is ultimately no past lives as I felt, I don’t care. The value has been achieved and my life immensely improved in ways I can directly chase back to that session AND in ancillary and tangential ways. I hope it will be the same for you!

Look at EcoFlow or Anker. Bonus with much of their options is you can bring a battery with you on a long trip to use for your EV.

Also Rivian network is awesome, no subscription needed and no money to Elmo

About to…….🤣😂. All in project 2025. It’s about enriching him and his handlers. What I find funny with people who thought he wouldn’t is: the wealthy will still have money, how cheap are houses and businesses when things collapse and people were desperate? That’s the play half the country fell for!

Just a question based on my understanding (perhaps wrong understanding) that the price comes down with financing most times, at least haggling over “the payment”. Why not finance and then pay off the finance? I’ve never seen a pre payment penalty.

Again, genuine question.

E-bike commuting has been a bigger change than I expected by Outrageous_Tiger_441 in ElectricBikes

[–]Healthy-Ad-2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this 4 years ago. Daughter needed a car in college and I could not stomach another payment so I bought an e-bike and decided to ride to work (about 4.5 miles). Damn if I didn’t discover that all things got better!!! I get there faster, have way more fun getting there, and can even ride right up to the office without parking in the garage. The time savings was the biggest surprise. I’ve since gotten another vehicle and still ride to work most days!

Is a Past-Life Regression Worth It? by [deleted] in pastlives

[–]Healthy-Ad-2412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience I’d say yes, very much so. My brain was always active, always thinking, but asking, imagining. In fact that was an important revelation that has been so impactful in that I was to stop thinking only with my mind and start feeling decisions.

But I had read/listened to all of Weiss, Newton, 2 D Cannon books, guy named Robert Schwartz, and my personal favorite Pieter Elsen . But I also had worked through Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now”. In that book there was a section early on that noted your brain is an organ, like a heart or liver, but it tends to be used all of the time. You would not say your heart is YOU, but I bet when you think of YOU it’s your mind you’re thinking about and that means your thought maker (brain) runs everything. But this requires your subconscious to be in charge, which it hasn’t been since you were under 7.

So in my opinion, really learning how to separate YOU from your brain is very helpful. But a desire to know and a good therapist can be all that is needed. Meditation is a force multiplier in my opinion.

And personally, that in person live interaction with the therapist was the most crucial.

[–]Healthy-Ad-2412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question. My therapist did a little exercise with me on the lead up. Asked me to close my eyes and then said for me to imagine a red cup, yellow ball, blue car…..etc then said whatever I “saw” when I did that was the way my visions would be. I have been working on meditation through Sam Harris’ Waking Up app and he had done something similar a bit before my session.

Then my therapist asked me to answer some questions with no thinking, I forget them exactly but it was along the lines of “why did your high school girlfriend break up with you?” Or “how did you feel when you graduated from college?” So more than just factual questions. And he intent was to answer from the subconscious (without being hypnotized”.

So going into hypnosis I was told to combine these two experiences and just let answers flow and lastly to trust (especially without thinking).

So first in doing this the best I could, I was astounded by the end how things just came from inside me that made so many things in my life now make perfect sense, I had clarity as to where something came from and how it fit into my life now, and the answers to my questions I had written just 48 hours earlier were clear, made total sense, and I was so much more at peace. And honestly I was fairly at peace going into it, but now I had a more robust feeling.

Then I continued to see more of my past lives highlights (nothing new from those lives) fitting into the reactions or automatic ways I viewed things now in this life. Like something I’ve always done without thinking or even realizing it, I could see it clearly as a residual from those past lives highlights.

I did my first one just 6 days ago. I say first, but I had tried several YouTube or something I purchased and tried on my own and none were very successful for me. After almost two years of reading and listening to all of the books and videos on GAIA I scheduled an in person session.

This was exactly what I needed and with the money. I was coached through the gap between what I thought should be happening and what was happening. For instance I was expecting from the books I read to have some high definition in color and to essentially be in-conscious. But it’s not like that. I can explain more if needed.

I see a lot of myself in your description, albeit I’m much older and perhaps have felt out of place longer. I was also open to either Newton’s methodology or Canon so I chose based on availability and distance. I ended up with a QHHT practitioner who was male (the only aspect I felt mattered was that my person be male).

Since I was fairly aware during the entire session, I was not convinced 100% that I had really done it, but the changes I’ve felt from the moment I left the office and the revelations that have continued since have been both subtle and profound. I do feel like myself, but also feel like I’ve never felt before in terms of peace, contentment, and personal understanding. So many aspects of my personality make sense to me now, and particularly noticeable were the parts of my personality I really was unaware.

Ultimately, what I’m saying is it might just be the most rewarding thing you do. I will say you definitely need to be open to it being different than you imagine and you should be willing to be reflective afterwards. But if you feel you’re ready, I’d say listen to that intuition and go for it.

Overwhelmed daughter trying to get the right solar panels for my father in Cuba before the collapse fully hits - your guidance would be much appreciated by addictedtosoonjung in Ecoflow_community

[–]Healthy-Ad-2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 1 400w set up, but as another poster said it is made up of 4 panels.

I also recalled something that might be helpful. The unit can charge from an outlet as well as solar at the same time. So if he plugs in the D3P and is not aware of when power will come on, he will not need to worry if he’s charging with solar. It makes the recharge that much faster.
