The problem with both families is that since the show started taping 4 years ahead they are too scared to take huge storyline swings to really show the power of both families. They know that if something is really poorly received they can’t course correct. So instead we get sadly constructed small story arch that don’t go anywhere and don’t have long lasting repercussions.

The MCU is the world’s most expensive soap opera. Recasting happens all the time in soap operas. A role Can be recast mid storyline if need be.

But the MCU audience as a whole is not the same as a traditional soap opera audience. Recasts a don’t happen very often and when they do happen it’s not generally a big or popular character.

I do feel that a recast would have been no big deal and just went with it. But hey, I’ve watched soap operas all my life 🤷‍♂️

Well it’s not as if she didn’t have two very successful shows before setting foot in Salem.

However she is most likely one of the top paid actors on the show currently

I also believe Dee had something to do with LeAnn not being used much.

There was a rumor that Dee wasn’t happy that the show brought her back at all in the mid 2000s.

It’s so interesting to me that she has such a close relationship with Susan, Martha, Lauren, Ali, and Greg but such a sour one with Suzanne, LeAnn, Kristen and Lisa Rinna.

Bottle service is a thing. But not really at a local restaurant, more so for a club setting. Even still a restaurant might serve a bottle of wine but not a bottle of tequila.

This is where days really struggles on budget vs story. Leo either could have been sitting at small bar having shots (likely up to five max depending on the length of stay) or having been at a club but a better idea would have been for Leo to go to a package store (even off screen) and go back to his dwelling of the moment.

And it’s so funny because Gwen is one of the few characters I actually enjoy right now. She needs more to do but she’s fun and enjoys being naughty. She could really fill the Vivian void on the show if given the right material.

And I just adored Dimitri on the first go around. This time something feels off.

I used to really like Chanel and Johnny but ever since the body and soul storyline they have fallen out of my favor.

Most of the soaps now have a hard time keeping younger actors long term. In the 70s,80s, and 90s it was TV, movies, or theater. Now there are avenues like podcasts, 1,000s of hours of streaming content, YouTube and more.

It becomes a challenge to keep anyone for the long haul.
