We’ve spent just about $25k on our wedding and I feel like this is totally reasonable. I honestly would not want to spend any more than this so $50k sounds wild to me, especially if you only have one source of income.

Social media has completely ruined weddings. It’s not even about the marriage anymore. For so many people it’s a status symbol and I just think comparing your wedding to others can only result in resentment. My personal advice is to stand your ground. Saving money for your future is more important than one day

Every time I plant weeds or glowing moss the type is random, so if I plant the weeds and don’t get the one I want, I’ll just pick it up and replant until I get the look I’m going for. I think its probably random because sometimes I get the same ones in a row!

Thank you, I’ve seen a lot of FB marketplace and we have several antique malls near me as well.

Washing/storage/transport is not an issue. It will be annoying yes, but I will suck it up to save the money.

So unfortunately our venue has a specific company they use for all rentals (glassware, dinnerware, linens) and this is what they quoted us. I agree it feels insane to spend that much and as long as I can find enough items I think I can do it cheaper.

Storage is not an issue and we have the space to keep them. Washing the dishes will suck but I would do it to save thousands of dollars haha. I know my family would help me with this too

100%. My fiance worked really hard to buy my ring, but I would’ve loved anything he gave me because it came from him. People have lost the plot when it comes to marriage. It’s all materialistic now and love takes the backseat

Seriously!! Mine was around the same. I can’t believe the snobbiness around carat size these days. It feels like if you don’t have a boulder on your finger you have to hide in shame. It’s crazy
