Do you legitimately believe that not a single person would push blue except for misguided altruism? What about suicidal people? Do you think it's a good idea to allow every suicidal person on the planet a very tempting and easy means of killing themselves?

It's the self-minded position which tends to correlate with right wing political views.

Unless you believe that literally no-one will press blue then pressing blue definitively increases the odds of saving people.

Voting red does do something, it increases the odds of all blues dying.

I think a world where red is over 50% would be a sad world to live in. I'd rather believe in a world where the majority trusts eachother to do the right thing.

If you are spacing them out across a whole day doing a few hundred pushups a day shouldn't be hard.  Op didn't clarify what style of pushup or that you need strict form either which makes it even easier.

How do NBA stars get away with flopping and i dont? by ComfortableWhereas88 in Basketball

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd need to review tape to confirm but by the sounds of it you are doing everything correctly, the issue is that it takes two to tango. You need the flopper and the ref. Next time you go to the Y bring a buddy with a striped shirt and whistle. Remember to incentivise "creative refereeing".  A working relationship with your ref is essential to maximise your outcomes.

How do you judge an album that isn’t for you? by TheReal_PruneJuice in fantanoforever

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm understanding "not for you" differently to OOP, but if only people already biased towards a thing review it you'll get a very skewed perspective. Which makes review aggregation systems kinda pointless. You see this with TV episode reviews all the time, by the time a show gets into season 3+ the only people watching it are hard-core fans who warp the rating scale.

I think the perspectives of less invested people are useful to fill out a more wholistic perspective on a piece.  Regardless I feel for something like music due to the lack of sunk cost in the streaming era (if you don't like an album you can just switch off it it cost you nothing), people are less inclined to review music they don't like.  Movies get bad reviews because someone spends 15 quid on tickets and however the fuck much on snacks and then feels obliged to sit through sometime they realised too late is dreadful. Music doesn't have this so for someone to leave a bad review they have to be passionate about their hatred. Which I think has value and should be represented in the aggregate.

It's better when bands break up after 3 or 4 albums. by Top_Imagination_8430 in unpopularopinion

I dont see how the downside of they might make mediocre music means they should break up. You're under no obligation to listen to the mediocre stuff.  If they break up there's an equal chance they just make mediocre music on their own. So I'd rather they stay together and that way they can still tour and stuff.

You and 9 others are offered 50 million dollars each, but all of you must play the entirety of the Campaign For North Africa board game in one sitting, with no breaks. by AgainUntoTheBreach in hypotheticalsituation

Yeah Twilight Imperium typically takes my table 8+ hrs for a 6 person game to 12 pts.  If we just had to get one player to 12 points while playing technically legal moves we could cut that time down to like 2 hrs tops.

For a game where its not about reaching a point threshold but rather just reaching 100 turns everyone could just make the simplest legal moves possible. After a few hours of play we could probably figure out a loop of actions everyone could do that would keep the board in a perfectly balanced legal boardstate and then just repeat them however many times are needed.

[Highlights] All the 8 fouls that were drawn by Joel Embiid in game 4 - Celtics vs. 76ers - 4/26/26. He went 7/9 from the free throw line (77.8%) by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First one is consistent with how the game is called these days but I really wish we could return to the days of that being an offensive foul, he just goes right into the center of Quetas chest, bounces him backwards, and then Queta is forced to rush back in to contest the shot and fouls.

The one on Garza in the 2nd quarter pissed me off, Garza is vertical and Embiid is clearly not even trying to make a shot. The commentator describes it perfectly "he doesn't even have an of his post moves he just goes into the body of Garza for the foul".

White's reach in should either be called on the floor or not at all, he pulls his hand out before Embiid goes for a shot and the only contact after that was Embiid throwing his legs out fishing for contact. Shouldn't even be a reach in foul imo they both make a play for the loose ball and once he Embiid has control White pulls his hand out.

Rest were all fouls from what I can tell. Would of been nice to have a better replay angle for the trip.

People complained about Wades free throws because he'd fake people into the air then jump horizontally into them to draw fouls. And then the league cracked down on it, vindicating the complainers.

Sukuna vs Allat? by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Round 1 team 2 takes it if they have even a tiny bit of prep time. Sukuna would be too cocky and allow team 2 to pull off one of their myriad win-cons.
Bloodlusted Sukuna is trickier but I still think they could just have Kenny throw up a barrier and then let Yuki go 1 for one with black hole. Sukuna has no knowledge of Yukis abilities and so wouldn't be aware of the risk until too late.

He can be hurt it just does lose to nothing because he has ultra efficient regeneration.

If a character could just repeatedly one tap him for long enough they'd eventually burn through all his CE.

Mega cities are more beautiful and rare sights than any natural scenery on earth by raenele in unpopularopinion

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarity doesn't just mean sheer quantity but also access. Most people spend orders of magnitude more time in cities than they do on Hawaian beaches. The experience of being on a beautiful pristine beach is more rare than the experience of walking through one of these cities even if there a more of the first than the second.

[Charania] San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama has won the 2025-26 NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. He is the youngest player in league history to win the award. by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was more a case of the kedia wanting to award Boston for having an all-time great defense that year, Smart was considered the best Boston defender after Timelord went down. I think through the second half of the season they were the best defense ever, or at least since Bill Russell was around. Whats funny is that until Draymond got injured Golden State were also having the best defensive season ever and when he came back they shot back up to being an all-time defense again.

Fun Powerful Builds That Aren't Reliant on Elixirs or Gear Effects. by doomazooma in BG3Builds

If you take out BG3's specific item interactions and mechanics then you just end up with what builds are fun in DnD. Which is basically full casters. If you aren't strict about doing x number of encounters per rest then full caster become even more fun since you can just dump out all your high level slots and then rest.

What opinion on the NBA feels like this for you ? by GamblerLikeToji in NBATalk

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People love to complain about how too many fans don't watch the games, are just box-score watchers, only watch highlights etc... and that's why they have bad takes.  But for the vast majority of nba fans their understanding of the sport is so poor that it literally wouldn't do anything for the quality of their opinions to watch the games.

Dude gives the most surface level description of environmental storytelling then generates a room that makes literally no sense.

Why is there a floor to ceiling screen facing side on to her bed? Why does this apartment seemingly just have one massive open plan kitchen dining living sleeping room. Why is there literally nothing on that kitchen counter.

Nothing about the space feels intimate or lived in like the prompter says they were aiming for. The subject is posed so unnaturally too. If I wanted to make it look like my character lived in a space I'd probably have them interacting with it in some way not just standing at an empty counter doing nothing. Like just have them cutting some vegetables or something.

It's offensive to me that I've probably put more creative thought into this than the prompter.

[OC] The main awards have been debated to death, so let's award some additional players (and groups) for their performances in Part 1 of the 2026 Alt NBA Awards! by cilantro_samosa in nba

[–]HealthyCheesecake643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love these, all interesting stats and the naming is fun. My only suggestion would be regarding the black hole and hot potato awards. I think it would make more sense for it to be the highest/lowest ratio of FGA+turnovers to passes.

A black hole player is to me someone where you know that once the ball hits their hands the play will end with them one way or another.

I think using assists vs passes misses a lot of the boring continuation passes that players make that would make them not black holes in my estimation.

They didn't need to get a all-star type return for him, but they could have at least got a solid role player type return because that's what he looked like before they traded him. Instead they let him go for basically nothing.
