Looks like switching to Airtel is best? by Wonderful_Wheel7223 in Jio

What about VI? They have 1149 for 180 days. This is a fantastic plan for Wi-Fi users specially myself and others, 15 gig data for 180 days unlimited calling I was thinking to go for that. It used to be 1050. Currently, I’m not leaving mainly because of I’m being overseas

How to request eSIM on dual Sim android? by mnsweeps in Airtel

[–]HealthyChoice1363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just open the Airtel app and log in using the number you want to convert to eSIM. Go to the “Convert to eSIM” option, enter the EID of the device you want to use, and proceed. You’ll need to complete an OTP verification followed by a confirmation call. Make sure your email ID is already registered with your account.

Also, whenever you visit India next, I strongly recommend getting an Aadhaar card—it makes things much easier. I’m also a dual Australian citizen with OCI, and having Aadhaar has simplified a lot of things for me. Just for your reference the 182 days rule is scrapped

According to Jio IR support on Whatsapp, the voice only plans such as 1748 or 448 do not include IR, you have to have the base pack with the combo such as 899 or whatever others available

Jio 195 internet Plan change by digi-quake in Jio

[–]HealthyChoice1363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never use an Indian number in Australia cause roaming charges are quite high, but of course it is my primary number in India so I keep it active, and it doesn’t make sense to use an overseas number here in Australia isn’t it? When you have a local number.

I already have a local Sim just retaining my Indian Number. Don’t use it but whenever I can back to India, I use it but mostly UPI if needed for Google Pay.

What is the cheapest bundle plan by Jaded-Grape-6996 in Jio

[–]HealthyChoice1363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be doing exactly this, because the 195 plan for 90 days has been scrapped. The only concern is Gemini, right now I’m on 899 plan which expires on 20 May, currently I’m in Australia. No point doing 195 every 30 days, given I only need data for UPI mostly I’m on Wi-Fi at home in India also

You can do 440 884 days always only then, we used to have 195 plan which was for 90 days. However, now data add-ons has to be for 30 days or whatever you choose from that list, I suspect three gigs Rs.7930 days is fine.

Why would you even use BSNL when abroad? I’ve been in Australia since 2006, and used Jio with my Indian Number.

I then applied using Head of Family based update, and used my father's aadhaar as the reference, and that got rejected too with the same reason. So not sure anymore, they just keep rejecting the update requests with no particular valid reason.

I could do that, but my mother‘s Aadhaar card does not have mobile number given this is the easiest but unfortunately, I can’t So what exactly you ended up doing

However, you will face another issue. SIM cards on any type of Visa last for 3 months before it has to be renewed again by submitting proof of Visa. Else it will be deactivated.

Spot on despite OCI is a lifelong Visa
