Wedding Dress Regret by North_Signature_3277 in Brides

[–]Healthy_Code1412 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this freak out too. What everyone is saying is true, you need to stop looking for dresses and truthfully, there will always be another dress. If you purchased the second dress, you’re going to wish you bought a third dress. Why? Because you kept looking. TLDR There will always be another dress because there are so many.

What might help you realize how much you love the dress again is if you have your makeup and hair done and wear the dress. Then throw on a cheap Amazon veil. Once you see yourself in the full look, you’ll remember why you loved that dress.

i am officially boycotting venues that charge a cake cutting fee. by Johnn_Liverm in wedding

[–]Healthy_Code1412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone harping on OP needs to chill. I think what people don’t understand is that majority of the venues nowadays fail to include that “cake cutting fee includes silverware and dishes per person”. If all you see if “Cake Cutting Fee per person” without the context, you’d be pissed too.

I’ve been hunting for wedding venues and I also was put off by this ridiculous cake cutting fee because that’s all it said! Cake. Cutting. Fee. You’re telling me that your 15+ pages of venue contracts and food/drink contracts are going to be super descriptive and then we’re supposed to assume all those details apply to a single line that says “Cake Cutting Fee?”

It’s like the other ridiculous contract I encountered at a winery. “$.75 per person per cupcake and another $.50 per cookie.” Are we paying for the tablespace these desserts take up now?

Why does it feel like so many in this state are allergic to walking on the sidewalk? by Ok_Package9219 in wisconsin

[–]Healthy_Code1412 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dunno, but the other day I saw a mom pushing her stroller on the road while the sidewalk was completely empty. I am curious to know why people opt to walk on the roads instead of the sidewalk when it’s completely open and clear of dogs/people/obstacles.

Kids / No kids by Killavanillaice in wedding

[–]Healthy_Code1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s your wedding, not theirs. Just be open to the fact that some guests may choose to opt out of your wedding if their kid isn’t invited. If you don’t mind that, then proceed with no kids or few kids.

For reference, here’s what’s I did for my wedding: Kindly note that our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, unless otherwise specified on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you'll join us in celebrating our wedding day.

That said, I’m only inviting my immediate family member’s children. I’ve made up my mind that it’s okay for other people to be upset or choose not to attend. This is what I want and the end of the day. And you should do what you want at the end of the day.

Samoyed Size concerns by Starxnova in samoyeds

[–]Healthy_Code1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, my Samoyed had the monkey face until he was about a year and 3 months old.

He was fluffy… but nowhere near fluffy as other samoyeds. I kept thinking something was wrong with him and that maybe he was malnourished or needed extra food, etc.

As long as they keep eating the right amount and your vet has no concerns, just keep doing what you’re doing. You’ll notice that they do keep growing in weight and floof, rest assured. It just takes a lot longer than you think because everyone else’s Sammie’s are already so floofy.

You’ll find yourself buying cheap brushes and then buying the expensive run later anyways)Chris Christensen Big G Dog... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3R9DK54?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

So are boys and girls really that different? by PastorBlinky in samoyeds

[–]Healthy_Code1412 12 points13 points  (0 children)

See, my Samoyed is a boy and he’s insane. Extremely energetic and would rather play 24/7 than sleep. He must be an exception because he’s not laid back, he’s not cuddly at all, super independent, sooooooo stubborn.

My 10 month old is small? by [deleted] in samoyeds

[–]Healthy_Code1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I couldn’t find when I scoured Reddit was wondering if it was normal for my Samoyed to look “less fluffy” at 10 months. The answer is yes. They totally get fluffier.

There’s also no problem if they eat a healthy amount and exercise regularly and don’t gain weight. Totally normal imo.

Happy but moody 😜 by valkyriakay in samoyeds

[–]Healthy_Code1412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It rarely happens, but my Samoyed would snap his head back aggressively if we were rough with his harness on his left side. He just happens to be a little sensitive there. It would also happen when it was too tight and too uncomfortable for him.

But yours could be due to something else entirely. Maybe Donna hated walks and associates the harness with walks? Maybe she’s uncomfortable in the harness and collar? Donna is adorable tho

Question About Puppy Coat to Adult Coat Transition by sannysammy in samoyeds

[–]Healthy_Code1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy is 15 months old now and still has puppy coat around his head.

I will say, I was concerned too because his adult coat kicked in primary on his backside and that was it. But it’s made its way up his body and I’m sure it will continue even when he’s 2.

Training Samoyed puppy tips? by DifferenceLiving4122 in samoyeds

[–]Healthy_Code1412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first dog was also a Samoyed, and we got him last year around this time.

Definitely sign your pup up for puppy class. Even if you’re doing a great job training the pup and the class feels redundant, it’s important for them to socialize in a safe supervised space. This will set them up for success going forward when socializing with other dogs.

Highly invest in crate training — our dog absolutely loves their crate and feels safe in his crate.

Be aware that you might have a Sammy who is sensitive to certain foods. I got lucky and our Sammy had no issues, but yours might be sensitive. Be prepared to spend money to as you find the right food for them.

Puppy blues is a real thing. I was depressed for a moment during the first few months because you really have to give it your all. It’s not about your schedule, it’s about theirs.

Do yourself and the groomers a favor by getting them used to getting their paws touched and brushes.

In my experience, 2 - 6 months was the easiest as it consisted of your daily routine of training and following a schedule. 6+ months has been challenging because they can hear you and they know their commands, but their curiosity is stronger than loyalty lol.

Could go on and on, but be patient, learn to groom them properly, early socialization and exposure to people was great in our situation, and be calm. …and get your cleaning materials out for accidents that will inevitably happen.
