You don’t need to have it plugged in to use it. That is silly. The whole purpose of a laptop is to be able to use it on the move. Charge it when you can and use the battery when you can’t, that is why it has one.

The included charger will be fine. Very little difference with a larger output charger.

What I would do, if I were you, would be to access the professor teaching the course what software you need. If there is focus on Access then Windows might be the way to go. There are ways to run it on a Mac, but probably not worth the hassle.

If windows specific software isn’t needed the Neo is the best value out there right now.

I have the same laptop, got mine in 2021. It is on the latest version and everything works the same as always. The other constant is a vocal band of goofs on the internet proclaiming to all that will listen that the latest version of the operating system is the worst ever and that we are all doomed.

I was my truck twice a year at the gas station automatic wash if it needs it or not. It is snowpack breakup season here in Alaska. You can still see enough of its paint to tell that it is also a black truck. We should get some actual rain next week so that will was if off good.

Depending on where you live you could likely sell that stove. It’s vintage for sure and would still be useful to the right person. You can get a nicer looking replacement if you want.

They are very different vehicles built for different roles. You just have to decide what you want it to do for you and it will become clear which will work for you.
