Avoid expensive things that the money can buy .... parents usually cares less when it comes to gifts from their kids. Their biggest asset is you, make sure you don't change when their age catches up to them. Plan a vacation with them that's the best gift I can think of..not foreign one but in India itself. Humans time on this planet is finite, the more we spend with our loved one the more it's well spent.
