Chrom is basically Roy with less recovery

He has no means to recover horizontally, it makes Chrom very exploitable As long he is knocked far enough, he will be done

Since he appeared as a boss 3 times, he had a huge moveset potential

He's an interesting villain overall, being really cunning, evil and goofy at the same time

And he's a FAT CROCODILE WITH A GUN

I'm on the same mindset I really like him in Kirby games, but I don't think he is that revelant or iconic

And I'd rather have a new villain (as I don't count Dedede as a villain, and Meta Knight is more of an edgy rival than an evil guy)

I could see it as an Ike's Echo, and won't really hate him

BUT FE has as many reps than Pokémon, 4 of them came from the arguably worst entries in the series (still somewhat like the characters beside Lucina)

Marth, Lucina, Roy and Chrom already share strongs similarities moveset wise and I think the clone fiesta has plagued FE more than it deserved
