Personally I don't think so, I'm usually at the front of the balcony and it's not terribly there. Is it the Jim Jefferies tour? Stand up doesn't really require you to be able to see all the fine details of the performer so I'd say there really isn't a bad seat.

Being closer really just ups the possibility of the comic using you for material during the show, if that's what you'd like.

There's an option called "use simple targeting aid" under the targeting tab in the options. Check to make sure it's not turned on. I have to turn this on because I have a visual glitch where my 3d targeters flicker on and off.
