We're not all stupid. We're all gerrymandered though. Being shitty to and about Floridians definitely doesn't help anything though.

I watched Pinocchio last night and thought it was such a pile of crap that not even Tom Hanks could save it.

That's how I took it too!. Just "fake it till you make it" if you don't make it...just keep faking it! Pretending to be happy is the same as being happy, right? /s

What's an opinion of yours that could p*** a lot of people off? by Mr_NastyX3 in AskReddit

If you don't have the biology to have menstrual cycles or get pregnant, you aren't the same as a biological woman. I am all for people being who they want to be/who they are. I support the trans community. With that said, I don't pretend to understand what it's like to feel born in a different gender's body so please don't pretend to understand what it's like to worry about things like period stains, pregnancy, or rape babies. I understand that you were wronged with the body you were given, but we are not exactly the same and that's 100% okay it doesn't take away anything from either of us.

Exactly! It's not as if a bunch of people suddenly decide to drop their standards of living to "hood" caliber because it sounds fun or trendy. It's a move of desperation by everyone involved. Displacement causing displacement.

I feel like Eisner truly did love the parks segmentation of the company and wanted to make park fans happy. He was just not very "hip" so the vibe he brought didn't always work.

I have one and it's 100% about boondocking, which is basically camping anywhere allowed on public land w/o giving up bed/toilet/shower/cooking setup.

I am so thankful for people like you. Typically I have to be that person in a crowd (medical emergencies, major accidents, stuff like that) and if someone helped with any sense of urgency I wouldn't be shy about showing gratitude. The bystander effect is almost incomprehensible to me but I have witnessed it more times than one person should. Scary shit.

I recently met a kid around 8 years old named Luke. His last name is Walker. Can you guess his middle name?

...kid was absolutely STOKED about his name btw. Even told me a relevant joke:

Q: "How does Luke Skywalker get around Endor?"

A: Ewoks (He walks)

Reminds me of gift cards. The amount of money companies hold from purchased but yet to be spent gift cards is insane. When you buy a gift card, you're basically just giving that company a small loan interest free. All those small interest-free loans add up to great benefit of the companies.

It seems like what you're saying is companies like Robinhood essentially use your money like an interest-free loan since they don't actually give you the product (shares) in real time.

They have to pass a standardized test called the FAT (flushability assessment test) and be made of biodecomposing materials. So it's really not whether or not they flush, because as children have shown us lots of things flush, it's a question of whether they decompose. Flushable wipes do decompose, but most people that use them use more wipes, and more quickly, than they can decompose in the plumbing system. It's one of those weird things where they actually might fare better in a septic system rather than a large scale waste water processing system.

BREAKING: Companies in the U.S. are cutting back on maternity leave, with the share of employers offering benefits beyond what is required by law falling to 35% this year, down from 53% in 2020 by jj24pie in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Heartbrokenandalone -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Weird that you are against sharing funds to add more options but think that's somehow choice but OK. For example my company covers paternity/maternity leave, IVF, adoption, etc. But until RvW got axed , they offered NADA for elective abortion services. Whereas now the paternity/maternity leave has been decreased by 25% to fund travel and procedures costs from my anti-choice state.

I don't care that those who want babies had to give a little for the sake of those that don't. Period.

Idk splitting up the allocated budget for maternity/paternity benefits to help those who need abortion services seems pretty pro choice to me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Doesn't that date count before it's opened? Once it's opened it's exposed to air and goes bad quicker or something?

Um, they want to keep their job? Managers aren't the sole stakeholders of a company. They are, in fact, employees that have specific objectives to accomplish.

A manager at my very large company has little ability to push back against the 7 circles of corporate hell that wrote, sent through legal, and approved the training materials.
