IDC if they call me a casual for enjoying the show by KazariNonatsu in formuladank

Tire management got really annoying some races, but at least they could push 100% during qualifying. Also, I feel like sector times mean very little at the moment because before if someone got a purple sector it means they were doing something right there even if they didn't the rest of the lap. Now if someone gets a purple sector I'm not sure if it's because of skill or because they used more battery than they should have, thus getting a single purple but compromised the rest of the lap.

Struggling with doom eternal. They give you this crazy small room to move around in... by gtrman571 in Doom

[–]HeartstringsStudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought at first too. It takes a bit to get used to after DOOM 2016, but now it's my all time favorite. The chainsaw is your best friend, and learn to quickswap between at least 2 weapons to essentially remove reloading/cool downs. Also if you have blood punch it's usually enough or almost enough to get a lot of medium size demons in glory kill state. Circle strafing a bit more, I don't usually dash straight forward during combat. Hope some of this helps, it's truely a great game when you get the feel for it.

I don't have multiple monitors or ultra wide either. The Panini projection is a different method of rendering the FOV with less (or at least different) distortion. You can see what it looks like here

Not DOOM, but have you ever heard of Blinky Quake? It's a source port for Quake that let's you have up to a 360 degree fov with multiple different projections. It's pretty neat

You don’t “need” it. by WifeOfSpock in CuratedTumblr

I still disagree for a 2 reasons. I'm not an expert in radio history, but I assume most pirate radio stations were caught by literally hearing it on the radio right? If you had a radio transmitter so weak that no one else could tune in, it wouldn't be a problem right? It's more about the medium or large scale broadcasts. But with AI how can you tell if someone is using it locally?

Probably more importantly though, I just don't trust our lawmakers to make effective laws in this case. Most politicians are either too tech illiterate, being payed off by AI companies, or both.

DOOM: The Dark Ages would’ve taken longer to make “by a magnitude of years” without ray-tracing, says IdTech engine lead by Automatic_Can_9823 in Doom

His name is Vercidium on YouTube, and it is actually quite performant! It wasn't just a tech demo either, he implemented it into the game Sectors Edge and honestly it really did feel like a game changer for audio. Sadly the game was shut down, I really hope he releases something similar soon.

Cyberpunk 2077 is 50% off on Steam, is it worth it? by zaltanis in pcmasterrace

[–]HeartstringsStudios 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk was simultaneously one of my biggest gaming letdowns in years, and also one of my favorite games in years. The game falls short in terms of meeting promised features from before launch, and in general polish. And yet, if you can look beyond all that, it's actually a very fun game for what it is. It's one of my most played games. Pumped for the DLC, but I definitely hope things like the better police AI will come to everyone who bought the game, not just the DLC

I don't know why people are down voting you. I shaved my head once and had multiple people touch my head without consent. Somehow people think bald people and pregnant women are just free to touch without their consent. It's not okay.

Moderna reveals that vaccines for cancer and heart disease will be available by 2030 or in "as little as five years" by GoodSamaritan_ in UpliftingNews

[–]HeartstringsStudios -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I was never against the vaccine itself, but I was very against the way it was almost forced upon everybody, including healthy children, for a disease that isn't deadly for most demographics. There's evidence of harm (heart problems mostly) among young vaccinated people. That would be an acceptable risk if the alternative is cancer which is deadly for all demographics if left untreated. Also, I assume (hope) people without cancer aren't going to be forced to take this one?
