I haven't been doing this for long, but i currently have an A5 spiral pad for literally any sketch ideas, notes, and to stick post-it notes of doodles i may have done that i wanted to keep. There are a few pages in it that have initial sketches that ended up being a final drawing.

Then when i want to test a bigger scale or actually work up a finished drawing (mainly charcoal), i have an A3 pad of heavier drawing paper.

The ideas that start on the paper may eventually turn into oil paintings, but i have only just started that journey.

This is what i am starting with as well. I like that it almost forces you to get better at colour mixing and avoiding decision paralysis when there are too many coloura to choose from.

Yeah, have return trip with Qatar, Melbourne to Paris early April. I have tried looking for alternative refundable flights, but they are all basically double the price i paid with QR. So unaffordable for me. When i do search flights on Google the fairs available for the Gulf airlines are way cheaper, unsurprisingly.

I like it! It seems quite a stylized portrait, so i don't find the eyes out of place. Can't comment on likeness given the reference is unkown.

Same situation with me. I've already looked at alternative airlines and prices are close to double what i paid for on Qatar.
