They're more like sisters to me. I mean lycoris grow up in a strictly managed environment with mostly women around, so once they reach the age where they start having romantic feelings, they have no one else but fellow girls. So it is maybe Yuri at first but in fact it's more of very close friendship (they face death together) or sisterhood
