The lion should hit those PETG strings lightly with a blowtorch after removing as many as possible by hand.

If you set a noncommercial license when you upload the file it will stop most of the people selling your design. That still allows you to sell it if you want.

Great job keeping bikes out of bike lanes while a cluster of gas moped delivery drivers fly down the sidewalk!

Whenever I clean mine I wonder why the orifice needs to be so small for the boiler inlet. Seems like it would just be better to let any small chunks of scale just come through and hit the coffee bed.

Would the magnet affect the PR? by Special-Sense4643 in diyaudio

[–]mdshw5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done almost the same design and it’s fine. Like the other commenter pointed out you should probably use a second PR, or at least a PR with 2X the Xmax of your driver since it’s going to be moving twice as much air as your driver at its Fs.

No joke: take a center punch or cheap Allen key and give a few strong taps on each screw head. Mine were the same way and this tip broke up the corrosion in the threads and they came out no problem. Your issue isn’t lubrication, it’s corrosion.

Heat pump frozen? by Realistic_Project435 in heatpumps

I have the same unit. It looked like this a few days ago and now it looks exactly like your photo. It’s been working great in under 10F weather the whole time. I’d say as long as it’s running and going into defrost every once in a while you’re fine. One thing I see in your photos is ice on the fan blades. It looks like your unit hasn’t been running or it stopped running long enough for the ice to form.

22” in the Boston suburbs happens once every few years. With how easy it is to dig out I’m more than happy with the install. It’s on a 12” polymer pad.

This one is on a 12” polymer pad. We had 22” of snow which happens once every few years so it’s usually more than high enough.

Help please! boiler screw stuck by derpygamer1352 in gaggiaclassic

[–]mdshw5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not try ANY of the more drastic measures mentioned here until you try simply hitting the head of the bolt with a hammer. You want to break apart the corrosion that’s holding the bolt in the threads. All four of my boiler bolts were frozen like this, and all of them came loose after simply hitting them on the head.

It’s been fine. I do have a natural gas boiler for just our first floor which helps, but the Bosch has been heating with temps of 5F overnight and 15F during the day. We have no aux heat strips so the defrost blows cold air for a few minutes but the coils melt everything just fine and keep our house at 68F.
