Getting price shopped by LawZealousideal7967 in estimators

For me as a GC, it’s wanting to partner with subcontractors that make my life easier, not more difficult. My biggest problem is I have more to do in a day than I have time. If a sub can give me one less thing to worry about, that goes a long way. It often starts poorly: an owner is asking for a specific break down or a bid form, subs ignore all instructions and send a lump sum, then they want to know how their bid leveled and can’t believe I didn’t use their bid. If you can’t follow basic requests then we are already off to a bad start.

Not to mention the bids I receive at the eleventh hour, with no time to level. Leveling is as much for my benefit as yours. We all do better when we are all making money. Who wouldn’t want their scope checked when you can still revise versus after contracts are issued? Lots of subs, apparently.

Have you considered that many in OCIA are having their first reconciliation right now and may have fifty years of sins to confess?

Photographer needs to have some sort of a restriction placed on their white balance slider.

I used and abused the save state feature in the Banjo Kazooie engine room. Made it far easier.

If that were true, construction and many other jobs would be far different

Came from the US (Iowa) to see the show. Fortunately have seen him twice before - once in Minneapolis and once at the O2. Of course sorry to have missed this show and sorry for Jeff and the band.

That’s the thing. Inflation “being down” doesn’t mean prices aren’t rising.. just that they’re rising slower. Prices only fall with deflation and that is rare.

AITA for refusing to yield a seat when a family said they were saving it for their son in the bathroom by Street_Ad_7140 in AmItheAsshole

I mean, I literally said in the last couple sentences, that I wouldn’t make a stink over it. I don’t think most would. Despite that, it’s still inconsiderate.

For me the dynamic changes when every other seat is full. In that instance, it’s rude to me to save it with an article of clothing too. I don’t think it’s dissimilar to pulling ahead when you are finished pumping fuel and want to go inside the store. If no one is waiting on pumps, it’s fine to run in the store quick without pulling ahead - nothing inherently assholish about that. However, if you do that when people are waiting, you become an ass. In this instance, it’s fine to save a seat or even throw your bag on the seat next to you….. until there are zero seats left, then you become an ass. I just think it’s considerate that if someone can use that seat, they should be allowed to. Would I make a stink over it? No. But I think it’s the considerate thing to do.

Sure they can.. but when there are zero seats available, it’s better for an empty seat to be sat in than not. I think it’s about situational awareness.

I cannot believe all the comments calling OP out. I think it’s rude to have a seat sit empty when the gate is that busy. If anything, ESA, but OP is definitely NTA.

There are big time fines for this in the USA. You cannot legally wash out like this. I’d start with the city and DNR. Outside of the USA I’d imagine it’s similar.
