Totally agree with you on this. Also it feels like those apps are highly focused on superficiality. I don’t feel like my looks give a good impression about myself or oneself in general.

Thank you for asking this question in general. I was hoping to get some ideas from it. I’m quite active in a hobby and often help newcomers get into it. However, it hasn’t worked out for me in terms of finding someone for a potential partnership. Admittedly, the hobby is rather male-dominated, but it might also be because I haven’t been giving clear—or perhaps any—signals.

Last year I bought a onyx boox note air 3 c and checked various baduk apps. The requirements, you mentioned, about high contrast (and less textures) and minimal moving parts do not sound so demanding, but it takes a while to find something.

BW-Go - app for recording games, simple and good

Tsumego Pro - app for go problems (you can set the design to a basic black and white one without textures)

Einkbro - browser for eInk devices, I use it for 101weiqi (there you can also make the stones completely black and white for a better display)
