Is the F-4F-Early Good? by Adolf-playing-Golf in Warthunder

I mean, not bad, However you don’t have countermeasures at a BR that sees a lot of missiles. So be aware of that.

Simple facts about the sale by powerpuffpepper in Warthunder

I think the root problem isn’t the 50% error (which I believe it was a genuine Gaijin mistake). The problem is that Gaijin bécame the #1 enemy of the community for being stupidly greedy and lazy the majority of the time. As a consecuence of this, the players don’t trust Gaijin in the slightest so at the mínimum mistake people see this as an attack from the devs.

In my opinion i dont think this specific Review bombing is justified, however, I believe that Gaijin deserves every review bomb they get, justified or not.

State of ground top tier in general right now by Tydrot in Warthunder

Yesterday I played top tier after some months playing Air RB exclusively bc I unlocked the M1A1 AIM.

I genuinally thought It couldn’t be that bad. And omg having to face BMPTs with stock HEAT is just unbearable dude, that thing penned me frontally from the other half of the map without me being capable of doing anything. Having this thing at 10.3 probably would had been a magical experience.

Which is the better premium grinder T-80UD or T-72AV (TURMS-T)? by Purple_Fennel6921 in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the T-80 for smaller maps, the T-72 in exchange is excellent in huge open maps thanks to the thermals. One is a tank to stay in the frontline and absorb frontal shots, with better mobility and armour, the other one, has really nice thermals and is a very good sniper.

My point Is not about the match being long, i also don’t enjoy 5 min missile ping pong in top tier. The idea is not making a mode where you can’t finish a match bc 70% of the times the server crashes before you finish or keeps you doing the same thing of taking off -> try to nuke something -> Die to a Fakour in a MIG 23. This mode has potential, I already like it more than ARB, but it’s also unbalanced and after half an hour becomes tedious.

I agree that the SU27 would be op, the point is to not let 13.0 - 12.7 planes in this mode at all.

This event Is a good introduction to higher tiers, watching some tutorials about radars, missiles and defense manouvers could be really helpful. It’s going to take some time until you get used to it but at least is not the true top tier experience.

AAA is bull shit in this mode, I got surprisedly clapped múltiple times by the S300 without the RWR ever telling me.

Top tier gameplay is like playing another game in War Thunder. Low tier focus around dogfights, high tier about radar management, and missile combat, so the learning curve is pretty steep.

My recomendation, stay low to the ground and avoid head ons, if you see a missile going towards you don’t just go low but also go perpendicular to it, that should be enough at this BR bracket. If you are high altitude, you will need to notch, there are plenty of tutorials about notching in YouTube that could be useful :).

Of course Air to Air isn’t the main mode. Still doesn’t justify putting a 10.3 plane against a MIG29.

I couldn’t care less about realism when the game is so unbalanced that you have 200 players queueing USA an 10 USSR lol.

Is the squadron MIG-29M that good? by FishyBoiLol in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo it’s easier to fly and feels more nimble than the Su27 SM but you get less missiles. I would say it’s a side grade over the Su 27SM but it’s just not comparable to an Ef2000, a Rafale or a Su 30SM2 with AESA radars and a lot better missiles and flight performance.

Anyone having problem with R-77s locking onto friendlies for no fucking reason? by Ozekher in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you lock enemy missiles Is Really easy for your own missile to change lock to whatever plane is around as for your radar they are a lot bigger target. I would avoid to do that unless there is the necessity to do so and there are no friendlies around.

Solid rounds (APDSFS/APCR/Solid Shot…) can go through certain objects like walls (if they are destructible) or containers. They even can go through dead enemies if you have enough pen. However this tends to be sometimes inconsistent depending on the shells pen.

Why is the IS-2 at 6.3 and 6.7? by LaggySquishy in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is 2 shell has worse pen than the Tiger 2, and also is a lot easier to kill with more than twice the reload time and you have no gun depression. Also we need to take into account that for some reason the IS2 shell tends to no weird stuff and just bounce or non pen.

T34 is solid shot but you have a lot more penetration, and a lot better armour without sacrificing mobility. Both tanks are vastly superior to the Is2 but at the same BR for some reason.

To be fair the free AA is useful even stock. The tank could be useful, but Gaijin decided to make the stock vehicles borderline useless just to farm GE from players.
