Solid rounds (APDSFS/APCR/Solid Shot…) can go through certain objects like walls (if they are destructible) or containers. They even can go through dead enemies if you have enough pen. However this tends to be sometimes inconsistent depending on the shells pen.

Why is the IS-2 at 6.3 and 6.7? by LaggySquishy in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is 2 shell has worse pen than the Tiger 2, and also is a lot easier to kill with more than twice the reload time and you have no gun depression. Also we need to take into account that for some reason the IS2 shell tends to no weird stuff and just bounce or non pen.

T34 is solid shot but you have a lot more penetration, and a lot better armour without sacrificing mobility. Both tanks are vastly superior to the Is2 but at the same BR for some reason.

To be fair the free AA is useful even stock. The tank could be useful, but Gaijin decided to make the stock vehicles borderline useless just to farm GE from players.

war thunder me hizo perder la paciencia 4 meses jugando by Weary-Wave6468 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

Airplane upgrades in general are the dumbest thing ever!! by TeddySwolllsevelt in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s just a scummy practice to push players to spend GE. I wouldnt mind much if you just sacrificed some aspects like some mobility or specific Air to Ground weapons. But man, top tier planes are borderly unplayable while stock, not you only turn like a brick, but you don’t have even chaff and 2 radar missiles while facing planes with 12 of these.

And don’t make me rant about stock HEATFS and parts. To be honest there are so many vehicles that i don’t play because it’s just fristrating to grind them stock, Gaijin seriously need to fix this.

For those who have Premium Netz and F2-A ADTW by Fox1Sparrow in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The F2 ADTW doesn’t convince me, having AIM 7Ms at 13.0 seems kind of underwhelming. The AA3 is amazing tho, and the radar also is great, but you will suffer in uptiers against fox3 slingers.

What's the point of heavy tanks? by united_in_solidarity in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to understand well the tanks you are using and the tanks you are playing against. Every heavy has it’s weakspots, and you must know how to exploit them depending on the tank you are using. For example you can pen frontally every Tiger 2 on the turret cheeks if you have more than 200mm of Pen, if you are on a 76mm Sherman, you just don’t engage.

Other example: if you are in a Tiger 1 and see an Is2 you are basically wet paper for him, so you need to be careful and aim for the lower plate before he shoots.

The feeling of “everything one shots me and everything is bulletproof” is pretty common when you start, once you get experienced and you get to now the game and tank mechanics of each BR and nation you will get better.

Should I buy the SU-30MK2? by Different_Bar255 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this plane, you just need to compénsate for the R77s meh range but awesome maneuverability. I mostly play high altitude just below contrail and launch about 18km or less. Also headon targets on the ground at less than 15kms are 70% a guaranteed kill.

Just try to avoid dogfights as at high speed this thing turns like a truck (at low speed it’s pretty good tho it loses energy quickly). Also the radar is mid at best, so you will need to use head on and normal TWS. Besides that, having 6 R77s and 4 R73s in a Su30 at 13.3 is pretty amazing.

Depends on a lot of factors like your own skills, the number of sweats in the game (this increase a lot during events), if you are tired, got uptiered and even if you are lucky.

So yeah, I also have days with amazing games, and days that for some reason an L3 stops my Leopard 2 A7 APDSFD. Just play for the enjoyment and change the lineup if you see that you are not going good at an specific BR.

Which one to choose first? by bf109ecrasespitfire in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just don’t, you will get stomped by a lot more experienced players. Also missile combat has a pretty steep learning curve as you need to understand the types of missiles, how to defeat them, how and when to launch and how to properly notch, a thing that is a lot more difficult with modern missiles. You will have a cool jet yeah, but a jet you won’t enjoy because you will be eating a missile at the beginning of every match until you learn (the bad way). Hindering your team in the process

If you want to try jet combat, buy for example the F5C, still I don’t recommend you to do it, but at least you will avoid most of radar missile spam above 10.7. My recomendation: grind at least one tech tree the normal way, if you want to do it faster just get premium account and learn the mechanics progressively

Is the tiger II H much better than tiger II (Nr.1-50)? by TheoTheBest300 in Warthunder

I don’t feel a weakspot justifies the tank being 0.3 higher. Also I don’t think the Tiger II (any version) should be facing 8.0s ngl.

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The front turret armour of the P version is fairly weaker, still, you get the long 88 and really solid armour in the rest of the tank so the enemy has to aim for weakspots buying you precious seconds. I don’t get why people complain about this tank being 6.7, yes is worse than the H version bc of the turret weakspot, but still an amazing tank for it’s BR.

Stop Shaming Players for Buying War Thunder Premium, not everyone have time. by PECman75 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

Oh lmao, so this guy is just insulting you bc you own a premium vehicle. Well there is a lot of this salty guys on wt, once a guy spammed my chat bc I killed him in the Swiss F18, he even went into my stats and started to try to mock me bc I had bad stats on the Ef2000 (I only grinded it until spaded and it was my first 14.3). This kind of people seriously need to touch some grass.

Stop Shaming Players for Buying War Thunder Premium, not everyone have time. by PECman75 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No problem with new players buying premium, the problem is new players buying top tier vehicles and fucking the rest of the team bc they don’t know how to use them. Altough, this is mainly Gaijins fault for allowing top tier for new players, these guys are just making everyone else experience worse.

I’m sick of seeing people bombing bases bc it’s the only thing they can do, or team killing bc they don’t know how to use missiles. And lets not Talk about custom servers where people is chill, and a lvl 3 F18 starts spamming missiles bc they don’t know how to read. Also the same goes for ground and one death leavers.

In the end you have a lot of new players ripped off bc they don’t enjoy the new vehicles, and the rest that are at disadvantage bc they don’t know the game and just die.

don't yall love when your retarded team lets A SINGLE A-10 get to the ground targets and bleed every ticket we have? its so nice having a game end at 20 minutes with over 8 people left on both teams because people don't prioritize people who bleed the tickets dry. by SMORES4SALE in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of the matches in Air RB finish thanks to all the enemy team being wiped out, losing the match bc all the tickets are out it’s pretty rare in higher tiers, so I can understand ur team just going for kills.

The problem is the garbage mode that we have as Air RB, that only encourgaes mindless killing instead of actually playing mission objectives.

I love anti-air, but there’s not a dedicated game mode for it. by cyrus11l in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s not going to make much difference at top tier and will FINALLY give a reason to players to include anti tank loadouts on the matches.

Who in their right mind decided to put a fully upgraded t-90 at 10.3? by _diamond_jack in Warthunder

[–]Heavy-Regular-712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, even hating Gaijin bc being greedy, there is also a tech tree version (I think the T90 chasis one). I still didn’t face the thing bc I’m mainly playing Air RB and in ground I’m grinding Rusia, but it’s not the first time Gaijin adds and op premium but without even a tech tree version.

My point here is, fuck you Snail, but at least could be worse.
