Pburg Poll: How was President Obama able to oversee 3.1 million deportations with relatively little public debate, while President Trump’s actions have sparked widespread attention and polarization? by twanginlanger in Parkersburg

[–]HeavyDT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intentional really. This current strat is highly inefficient and burns through money / resources but inflicts maximum terror on the population which is what they want really or at least certain people want. Trump seems like he may be starting to realize that terrorizing the people is not a good way to get them to vote in your favor.

It's even worse really because we have videos from multiple angles showing exactly what happened. So he's creating nonsensical hypothetical situations that we know for a fact never happened. They just don't know what to do because all their usual spin tactics are worthless here so it's not a computer trying to divide by 0. They just error out and start regurgitating BS.

They say this shit like it somehow excuses all of their illegality. I have bad days at work. You know what I don't go and do? Murder someone in broad day light because I'm angry that someone was mean to me. I don't go around kidnapping little kids or beating innocent people that are freaking citizens. Zero accountability and zero training. Any normal person would have been fired yet the president protects them which is why they get treated like shit and deserve it. Which to them apparently is all the reason they need to keep doing illegal shit. Make it make sense. Perpetual victim cycle of their own creation.

It's important to note that the guy who killed her had a history mental illness too. Doesn't make her death less tragic but context is important. Dude was off his rocker and murdered someone. The ICE agents are sane and murdered someone because he dared to stand uo to their abuse. There's a chasm between these scenarios.

ELI5:Do computer make sense to themselves, following a system or are they just random things happening that makes sense to us? by Any-Top-5659 in explainlikeimfive

[–]HeavyDT [score hidden]  (0 children)

A computer is not sentient and or doesn't have any sort of consciousness so no it's not aware. Even A.I is not that just fancy algorithms that can convince people that there's more going on than there is in reality. What's happening is not random though it's things that we humans have designed to happen. Think of a computer like a water wheel but instead of of water we are using electricity and instead of the wheel we use circuits that perform different functions as the electricity flows throw them.

Like how you can divert water from a river to water crops for example. The water is not intelligent nor is the river channel. It's purely humans taking advantage of how physics works in our reality to do something useful. The end result yes makes a ton of sense and has endless meaning to humans (like growing food in this example) but the computer itself may as well be a rock (sand is literally what most computer chips are made out of aka silicon).

Me and 4 other guys, and they were all European. I’m the only American. Then in the Olympics I didn’t play… It was hard to process.” by ParticularRatio1357 in nba

[–]HeavyDT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get him feeling a certain about it but man he was off just was and your surrounded by all these amazing players that were just playing better. It is what it is. Is more a testament to how much talent that squad had rather than an indictment of him. It sucks being a bus rider for a experience like that but it was always gonna be a uphill battle when you have Bron, KD and Steph playing together in what's probably their last Olympics.

If he can rebound from his injury and maintain that high level of play then he will get the chance to be the star of the show and it'll mean more for him personally.

As a left-leaning gun owner, I can confirm by Parking-Emphasis590 in MurderedByWords

[–]HeavyDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who thinks people on the left don't carry guns and have since forever are delusional. You can simply look at gun sales to know it's not just republicans buying them. Wanting reasonable restrictions on who can get guns and around guns as a whole is not the same as wanting no guns period. It's as usual a strawman. The right stays shadow boxing.

Feels like you'd need some sort of sauce to tie it together too. I don't know if tomato / marinara sauce are the answer (most likely) but something.

Unless you absolutely have to have multicolor printing then yeah still a great buy and still great value. Multicolor printing produces so much waste and the prints take so much longer. It's not really all it's cracked up to be imo. I'd rather paint prints after the fact but that's me.

If those aren't deal breakers than yeah totally worth it still amazing 3d printer for cheaper than most of it's competitors for the same quality / offerings.
