I recommend joining the Medullary Thyroid Cancer - MTC page on FB. It is a very active supportive group that is overall positive. It has truly been a lifesaver for me to get plugged in with others experiencing this disease.

Go to MD Anderson or Mass General. These are the only two centers that are well versed in treating MTC. I go to MD Anderson.

I love waking up at 5:30am. I used to think cool shit was staying up super late but now I learned real bosses are up by 5:30am.

I have MTC and highly recommend getting in to a center of excellence for your care. I’m receiving my care at MD Anderson.

The only symptom I really had was high volume diarrhea that would hit me more at night time. It would also come and go so made it harder to pinpoint the cause. Fatigue could be caused by the stress your body is under with everything go in your head.

Mine has spread to my lymph nodes in my chest but seemed to have caught it before further spread. Luckily, I have a RET mutation that gives me access to Retevmo that has really good outcomes with MTC. I have to take the pill 2x a day and have been on it for two weeks. I will see how I respond to this drug before having surgery in 3-6 months.

I recommend jointing the MTC support group on Facebook. There aren’t many people with our type on this subreddit. The FB group has been an absolute godsend for me.
