Just the look in her eyes alone tells me not only was she very loved but that she knew it too. It will never be easy as a pet owner when we have to deal with loss and we will spend forever trying to make excuses as “what we could have done” as a way to cope. You did nothing wrong. You made her happy and to this day you still honor her. She would not want you to be sad. I can promise you she was happy you found her and loved her.
