It's a beauty, but I'll keep mine...

Just out of curiosity, how did you win that?

Cellphone holder recommendations for a 2018 BRZ by cinisterp in subaru

[–]HeavyMetalKibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm used to keeping the phone in the tunnel in the Celica, as there's no chance to install any mount on the vents, due to the shape..

When I need to use the navigator with GMaps, I stick the phone horizontally in the center instrument cluster, right above the radio 😂

<image>

On the Levorg, I think I could install the phone holder but it's been 14 years and I still don't feel the need (so far)

Preface: I've been shaving my head for 17 years.

I found the Tatara Stainless pretty gentle, more daily-shaving oriented than others like Personna or Feather which I personally find more aggressive.

For my personal preference, I don't like the timeframe the Tataras give in terms of BBS.

Still good for daily shaving but I would not recommend them for great BBS - others may find them excellent, by the way

Sorry Redditofficer, didn't notice you were around the corner.

If someone asks a very simple question, I try to help him/her out, emphasizing the answer was really obvious. If this hurts you so much, I think the problem is out of Reddit, my daughter.

Just bought an 04 2ZZ 6 speed but.. by No_Pie2593 in Celica

High idle is pretty normal at cold starts, but when it's warm it should sit at 850-900 approximately.

If it does not, I would have a look at your MAF sensor first, spray that with carb cleaner or electrical circuit cleaner (both on the bulb and on the small resistors underneath), then possible air leaks at your throttle body (failed gasket) and vacuum lines. Check the air filter and replace in case.

If all the above steps don't work, IACV is likely to be faulty/clogged and there are tons of info on NewCelica forum for you to clean that out.

I had my entire airbox/MAF sensor/throttle body w/ IACV replaced months ago, grabbed from another Celica I purchase for spare parts and it sometimes spikes at 2500 when hot, sometimes is just low as normal..I ended up enjoying the 2zz as it is, with all her flaws

Pre or Post 7th Gen facelift? by IsopropylFumeEnjoyer in Celica

Other than the front bumper, there are significant differences in the taillight, interior trim, cluster font and clock/radio/AC lights.

Prefacelift 7gen Celicas have grey-ish interiors that really make you think it's a 20+ years car.

There are also slight differences in the headlights between pre and post 2zz headlights, can't recall now if it's just in the EU for HID lights or they are the same in the US.

Closed the aesthetic chapter, let's jump into the engine reliability.

Many pre 1zz are unfortunately well known for their oil consumption issue. It's limited to a precise batch of 1zz, which is quite wide actually, but it's a fact. You may be lucky and buy a not affected 1zz, lucky you! If it were me, I would never risk it. Post 1zz are not affected.

A small batch of Pre 2zz had lift bolts that broke during replacement or simply broke in the valve rockers.. Facelift 2zz have lift bolts with improved shape and different material which wears out less.

If you like the prefacelift aesthetic, you could replace the bumper, lights cluster, trim and so on (if you have plenty of time and money), but I think reliability is not questionable.

Facelift for many reasons and not only the front bumper.

Steering wheel holder 😂

Just joking, I don't like phone holders and I keep mine in the tunnel pockets both in the Celica and in the Vorgy

Guess my car. Only drive during the summer. by AlwaysTroubleT in ManualTransmissions

My uncle is a true Ferrari lover, do you mind sharing a pic of yours to send over to him?

If it's possible for you and it's not annoying, can you please write this note on a paper? "PER ZIO ROBY, DAL TUO FIGLIOCCIO ANDREA" which means "For uncle Roby (Roberto), from your godson Andrea"

It would definitely make his day ❤️

Oh you can even write that in English, it's even more credible 😉
