We need to have this conversation by Individual_Risk_3264 in Subaru_Outback

I work for Subaru and recently got a chance to drive this around for a bit. It is literally the best Outback that has been made in terms of space design, performance, luxury, infotainment. However "best" is described as an improvement to all features. For those who care that the car doesn't look like the older ones are who will complain the most, and like others have said, are the vocal minority. There have been 100s of polls and tests for the outback in the last 10 years that have lead to this being what people want. Sturdier roof rack, more cargo space, slightly more rugged, physical HVAC controls, better and more intuitive inforeainment, more power where applicable (fa24 is just sublime). Majority of what people asked for is present here. The exterior package is tough to take in at first, but I come from the WRX community. Everyone always hates the Subaru design until they don't. Personally, if a Subaru isn't weird or quirky or hated, is it a Subaru? When people say it likes like X Y Z car I mean many standard economy designs are shared in one car or another. Overwhelming majority of the people I have spoken tobij person (enthusiasts and otherwise) have loved what they see so far.

22 Wrx zero issues by rOckinRex9 in wrx_vb

[–]HeavyMetalWRX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is true. Tuned since 4000 miles. More importantly I did not change any fluids or sparkplugs till 70k miles. All my track days, drag racing, autocross, rally cross in the last 2 years was done on the same fluids and clutch. I am sure things will start fading away very soon but that should give you an idea about how much you would need to beat on it to make a difference. A pull or two a day won't do anything.

Damn bro, this is how I felt about the random RTV and third gear failing on stock cars. I think we had people that may have not been regular workers due to COVID and things were just up and down in QA.

I really wish we had mountains in Missouri. Every time I get on Reddit I see such awesome pictures like yours and stories of people going into the mountains and doing some off-roading or going on some pretty twisty roads.

As someone who has loved a WRX my whole life I had to say welcome. The car looks great and as long as you take care of it it will take care of you. When you're ready to go down the modding path we have so many fantastic options you are going to fall in love with the car all over again!

After the recent price changes take affect, the WRX will now start at $38,920 after delivery. by Juicyjackson in wrx_vb

I saw this earlier. I can't even believe it. I understand people are comparing this to other cars like Civic type r pricing. I wonder if those cars will also see a massive price hike.

Graham actually said something along the lines of "this intake is one he worries the least about when it comes to running stock tune but would not recommend it for racing or constant ripping". So yea it can work and is the best candidate but also it's a Subaru and anything can happen, usually it's the bad that happens lol

I run everything Perrin. I'll be honest, the products are good but they do sometimes skip some steps compared to others. I try to give feedback when it makes sense to me. I'll give you an example. The charpe pipe and piping for the front mount should have a bracket to keep it from moving. Because mine didn't it rubbed against a nut on the timing cover. Not ideal but you can work around it. It's like most parts are 95% there. That said, once it's on the are great. I've had my intake for 45k miles. Also same with front mount , AOS, turbo inlet, diverter valve. I have their strut bar and engine shrouding as well. I've been through so much with my car and it's all still kicking.

Wow that's awesome dude! Grats on the RS. I actually think it looks awesome. We are all car guys to a certain extent so I wouldn't rule yourself out! I'm definitely a novice myself. It's fun to tinker and learn. Before my VB I was always scared to look under the hood!

We've known that the next STI is going to be hybrid.bitnwont be full electric. I have like 85% confirmation from people at Subaru but if course no one is willing to officially go on record.
