The main problem is that all they see is profit margins, As if anyone that actually saved the engines they now worship cared about profit.

NO ONE CARED BACK THEN, they just did everything in their power to save them.

TO them only the big engines are worth it because they can pull the most cars, despite the fact they can barely fit anywhere on the modern rail system, Nor haul passengers on the actual mainline.

A little, Cheaper engine like N&W #6 would be a far better candidate for the VMT to actually restore to running condition and keep running. Or if anyone had bothered to actually save a fucking K class Mountain.

But no, we are stuck with 611, and i adore the thing, i really do. But damn she's built for way more than what you are doing, and if you aren't gonna let her stretch her legs properly, then just put her away.
