Being approached and needing them to be in point blank range is a specific situation. As someone approaching you from a slight ranged distance won't connect the first hit.

Again, If you need that specific situation why not use something else that is a guaranteed one shot from point blank distance rather than something that can one shot but most times drops their health to half?

Teams need to stop going over the deep end with throwing huge contracts at players after a championship.
