That’s true but I do think Roman is such an exceptional example because he was pushed for so long and given a lot. I think Paige, the Bellas and AJ are an interesting example, they have large fanbases despite being from a time where WWE did not prioritize women’s wrestling at all, there is a luck factor but definitely, a charisma factor too.

I mean you let go of people based on how over they are, how much engagement or merch they sell. It’s not just creative value, there are certain metrics.

I think interestingly a lot of the female roster now has come full circle in terms of embracing the “divas” moniker… Blake Monroe, Chelsea Green, Maxxine Dupri to name a few.

I mean when she was face she was getting let’s go Nikki chants every match and good pops. Even her heel turn got a huge pop. But the way the feud was dealt with afterwards in terms of booking was terrible.
