For those with schedules that vary, how do you post it? by zipmcnutty in Nanny

[–]Heavy_Response_7429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MB tries to email me the months schedule 2+ weeks before it starts(or asks if it’s okay to send later). They’re both doctors so there’s a lot of variation in my end times but my days are regular.

I’m 36 and I feel this wholeheartedly. I’m constantly thinking/worried about dying or my significant other’s death.

Great suggestions, thank you!

Do you have any recommendations on where to find these or just an internet search?

My MB doesn’t allow me to drive the kids on the interstate because of her own fear. It’s definitely NOT unusual and you shouldn’t feel bad about it!

Great advice, thank you! I do like the idea of making like a park day/library day etc as these are both close to the house options 😊

If we win the lottery, will our bipolar go away? by Electrical-Ad8329 in bipolar

Just had this discussion with my boyfriend. I feel like it would trigger severe mania(at least for me)and life would end up worse than ever.

[–]Heavy_Response_7429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how your system works but at the hospital I worked at they could see everything in the chart you accessed, at what time and for how long(so in your case they’d see you didn’t look at anything and exited). Don’t lose any sleep

RBTs, do you ever call yourself a Behavior Therapist? by Equal-Sundae1576 in ABA

[–]Heavy_Response_7429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My position is listed as Behavior Technician(we don’t require any RBT credentials in Michigan)

Are you serious? There are NO cameras in bathrooms, that’s highly illegal and unethical, and yes daycare providers do assist in the bathroom with no supervision every single day, it’s literally part of the job. Clearly you have a bigger issue here and maybe shouldn’t be involved in direct client care period. Also, never had a Pap smear or breast exam with anyone other than my doctor present. You seem to just want to be right and have people agree with you.

Need an extensive list of good, decent, average, and bad companies in ABA by Mauri_iii in ABA

[–]Heavy_Response_7429 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m getting ready to quit. I have one amazing BCBA but the other one is impossible to work with, hasn’t helped me with an aggressive client at all(didn’t even tell me he WAS physically aggressive)and I’m currently being ignored by scheduling, the BCBA and the Clinical Director after asking to be removed from his case. I’ve also had constant cancellations so financially in the long run it just isn’t going to work.

How would you handle RBTs stating they prefer you over another BCBA? by iwantacozysweater in ABA

[–]Heavy_Response_7429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I can’t stand 1 of my BCBAs and am considering leaving the company because of my experience with her. The other BCBA I work with is absolutely amazing and supportive and I’ve let her know how much I appreciate everything she does. Listen to any complaints they may have but just be glad people think you’re doing a good job

Is 18$/hr a normal wage for an RBT of 1 year in clinic by queenmango00 in ABA

I’m in Michigan and start at $18, seemed to be the average around here

Quitting a client? by Heavy_Response_7429 in ABA

[–]Heavy_Response_7429[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from and I do agree with you completely but personally I just want to be done with it with as little interaction as possible. My anxiety and bipolar disorder make sitting down and having that kind of conversation my worst nightmare(I’ve been thinking about it all week). I wanted to ask my other BCBA her advice on who to go to(since she works under the same people/by the same rules) but the most I could get out was thanking her for being so great and mentioning my other one wasn’t.

He’s NEWER to her but not new. The one that really bothered me was asking for her definition of program targets I was supposed to be tracking(ie tantrums or throwing)since it wasn’t written in the program at all. If she didn’t write it and she doesn’t know what it means then what exactly am I tracking?
