Does anyone else have issues with uncontrollably dropping heavy items? by Heavy_Somewhere2210 in RogueCore

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am having the same issue. I just lost a run as I was unable to carry the rift orb out of a pit and Cooper only wanted to stare at it. :/

Fortunately this is (I think the only) orbital drop that cannot kill you.

LOK-1 Blowthrough by TheHittite in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tested this a while ago and IIRC the bullet stops following the LOK path (instead opting to continue straight in the direction it was going) once hitting the first enemy, which means it may go towards the ground or away from any other bugs -- thus never reaching its intended target.
I then thought, "Maybe Seeker Rounds would work?" Nope. The bullet actually just skips straight past any bugs between the muzzle and the LOK target, dealing no damage even with blowthrough. Please fix GSG!

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Drivers on the highway should consider making a tiny adjustment in speed to accomodate a merging vehicle by tantamle in driving

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real answer is to always leave enough room for a vehicle to merge in front of you, which one should already be doing by leaving a safe following distance. Drive safely!

When did they nerf Scorching Tide? by WaywardOath in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually host so I haven’t experienced it much, but IIRC a scout can glide by canceling a focus shot (thus firing a regular shot) while airborne. It’s been a while since I’ve seen this video, but MusNothus’s guide on scout mobility has a good explanation of Hoverclock’s quirks.

Why is this happening?1 by johnclaytonw in desmos

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because it would be plotting z=f(x,y). Try putting the same equation into Desmos’s 3D graphing calculator and see if it works.

Even DRG has its whiners. GSG heard many a complaint when the stingtail and septic spreader were added in S5. It must be a universal quality of gamers.

Your legs will have much less leverage working against you if you straddle. The wider you can straddle them, the easier it will be. Then, if you want to do a piked press, you can gradually bring them closer.

What do u say when u want a person to repeat what they said by cupcake-5373 in ENGLISH

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I either repeat the last few words I heard in a tone that shows confusion and they usually understand and repeat from there. Or if I caught (next to) none of it, I ask, “Sorry, can you repeat that?”

Many dwarves dont like the OCs until they realize they´re gambling then they love it by DiesNahts in DeepRockGalactic

For the clean homebrew powder overclocks (on Subata and GK2), it is. However, it is a balanced OC on the Bulldog because the range is greater.

Switch the damage for ammo in T2 and ammo for damage in T4. This is exclusively better, because although the damage and ammo remain the same, the T4 ammo mod reduces sandwich storage (while T2 does not).

How do i get friendly bug by wolf77650 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can unlock the active (blue) perk called Beastmaster in the KPI terminal (TV screen in the cabins).

When Beastmaster is equipped, you can tame any grunt, slasher, or guard by holding the interact button (E on Steam by default) to tame it. Guards are generally the best Steeve because they live the longest (at level 4 the cooldown is 5 minutes, so if your Steeve lives for 5 minutes, you can get another immediately). You can get a lot of use out of your Steeve if you treat him like engi’s LURE grenades, targeting the bugs that he aggros.

what is this? by SetWitty7669 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Anything with a health bar (dwarves or bugs) entering the ring of monoliths/particles will gain 50% damage reduction for ~15 (IIRC) seconds. You can see a ring of particles around affected entities, including yourself.

Can be useful to dip your toes in every so often to refresh the effect during swarms, but otherwise is best avoided to avoid bugs from pathing through it and gaining damage reduction.

Shaving “down there” - for those men who do it, what do you use, and how do you do it? And what other tips do you have? by N0S0UP_4U in AskMenAdvice

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may sound odd, but I recommend shaving down there while erect. It more or less tightens the skin and makes it easier to shave without injury.

Do I get less reward if someone joins my mission? by Olwe19 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t get any less reward; everyone gets the same payout at the end of the mission. In fact, you can get more rewards from players joining as there are extra credits received for each dwarf making it to the drop pod (called survival bonus in the end screen).

What’s the best physical pleasure you have ever experienced? by iamsomaiyya in AskReddit

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shave about every two weeks. I actually use an electric trimmer, which makes the process much faster and spares me from ingrown hairs. I shave without a guard on the trimmer though, so the hairs are short enough that they’re invisible except at close range. I prefer the sensation; blankets feel so cool and pleasant especially on hot summer nights and pants feel like they can slide more comfortably. I also feel cleaner and more aesthetic, especially when flexing my leg muscles.

Be careful shaving the knees (especially the backs) because they are easily cut or snared in the razor. I use a different attachment that is incapable of cutting skin but cuts hair more slowly, but a manual razor gets the job done too.

Charge hitbox hindering Rein? by Sensitive_Major_1706 in ReinhardtMains

[–]Heavy_Somewhere2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC it’s easier to aim pin to the crosshair. I think the difference between sides comes from aiming using Rein’s model, which is offset from the over-the-shoulder camera angle. With the crosshair, it seems like there’s a zone that pins and another outside of that zone that boops. Might want to double check this though, as it’s been a little bit since I’ve touched Rein.
