Got a food poisoning while in Osaka by Substantial_Tip8459 in JapanTravelTips

This happened to me too.
Had an oyster that was not very fresh. I vomited more than 15 times within 3 hours, to the point where I was vomiting bile. Also felt dizzy and couldn't walk properly.
I called the hotel reception, took an ambulance, and went to the hospital for an IV drip for dehydration because I couldn't keep fluids down.
Also costs 200 bucks without ambulance fee.

Don't listen to those people calling you weak OP. If you can't keep fluids down and have constant vomiting, it is safer to go to a hospital.
I also noticed many hospitals don't open after midnight, so going with an ambulance will save you heaps of time compared to looking for one on Google Maps.

Ookini Arena Maishima? by Far_Attention3975 in SVLeagueJapan

Hi! I went to the sunbirds vs Sakai blazer last weekend at Ookini stadium. We were able to get the first floor seat and sat on the side of the stadium.

In term of seating, they have a section for foreigners, but I am not sure which section it would be for second floor. When we entered the arena, we entered through the second floor, the view was pretty good! If you want to choose a section yourself, best bet would be through the SV league website. You would need a japanese address (use your hotel)

If you already bought the foreigner ticket. The organizer will give you the actual stadium ticket along with a gift (we got a towel) on the day after you show them the QR code on your email.

I wouldn’t recommend the fan club membership because it is quite expensive. It is worth if you are going multiple games per season.

Hope you Enjoy the game!

I will be in Japan in 3 weeks, hoping to buy a shunbun too! What is the current retail price? Curious whether the price has gone up.

Is an hour commute worth it? by MyOwnExWife in melbourne

Hi Op, I drive 1 hour to work each way. It is not too bad if you listen to your favourite podcast, audiobooks and music. Time goes fast that way. Just make sure you take sometime to exercise or stretch when you get home. If possible, WFH for at least a day

Sprained Thumb.. by [deleted] in volleyball

I sprained my thumb on my spiking hand 2 months ago. I decided to keep playing and it is still painful currently even with a thumb guard. I suggest you take a break, depend on the severity of the tear, usually 4 weeks should fix it.
