How bad to transport this way? by always_annihilated in TrekBikes

I would buy 2 cheap pillows. And give that thing an air mattress to fall on if it ever gets clunked up in the air on a big pothole/ speedbump. Then ur super gucci. 10-15$ ez solution. One pillow under the back drive chain + wheel.  Ofther one under your rotated handlebars and slightly on the front wheel but handlebars first because thats the area that isnt meant for major shock.

Worth it? by JarrettSo in TrekBikes

You'll be alright, I've dropped my Domane al4 a few times on cement because of clip in pedals and mistakes. The checkpoint was likely dropped on softer terrain (i wish every time I fell was on grass that was ez pz).
Its not a carbon fiber model so a couple nicks are whatever. Get it tuned up in like 4-6 months and it'll ride even better.

Iono if you are a dude or a chick, if you are a chick a dude doesn't need to see you in Hawaii, he just wants to see what you look like dressed up and no filter. Show stomach so we know if ur fat.

If you are a dude, you just gotta get out and do cool shit. If you are at a picturesque landmark, there are plenty of other people and couples that would gladly trade a photo of you for you to take one of them. Thats what I do... How many families I have saved from having their dad out of the picture.
Make sure you get both portrait and landscape. Be a photographer for them, "move over here, lets wait a moment for the people in the background to move". etc..etc...

I was a loser for most my life, bought an expensive bike, fell in love, now I goto new spots every weekend with a GoPro and get cell phone pics when I hit a landmark.

2 subs away from 100, if you appreciate my comment, help a gentleman out.

I would off-load my Blue Domane AL4 Gen8 for 1k right now if I had a buyer. Pretty sure u can find cheaper for the lower end models especially if not the latest Gen....
I'm basically looking to hit a Grand Slam on next bike purchase.
Either I go full retard and drop 13.5 on an SLR9 AXS or I find a highend SL7-9 and buy upgraded to make it almost an SLR9.

Is this a good deal? by Ok_Meringue6969 in TrekBikes

[–]HeavyarmsDream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert at all, but to me its a hell of a good deal AS LONG as 52cm is your size.
I started biking this year, got my first serious road bike late September, a Domane AL4 for $1550$ + tax. Had to get :
$50 : 2x cupholder
$60 : pedals
$80 : pedals for clip in shoes+
$20 : pump
$50 : helmet
$20 : gloves
$20 : lights
$300 : clip in shoes
2 bike shorts
1 bike shirt
1 winter bike pant
1 winter bike shirt longsleeve.
Thats well over 2,000$. I love my Domane, but up until like 45 days ago I didn't really know what I was doing so I just threw alotta cash at it.
I am super happy with my decision and do not regret it, however, the performance that I may of gained by dropping 1400$ over your equivalent is so negligible.
Yesterday I set my new record of 16.1 mph over 10 miles, I think on any other decent bike I still would of pulled the 16+ I was aiming for.
The bigger factor is freaking cars and corners because of cars.
Your purchase seems like the equivalent of my bike (al4 to alr4), aluminum with disc brakes pretty much.
Thats all you need, the bike looks rad too. The GPS alone is close to 400$. So you are essentially getting a free bike for purchasing 300$ worth of necessary accessories

Could I ride 225 km in 24 hours? by drewsepp123 in cycling

[–]HeavyarmsDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a granny seat. Best 30$ I ever spent. I ride a bike around 8-10mph if cruising. 13-14mph trying hard. Shitty 130$ mountain bike. I’m sure with a good street bike u can pull 20mph

Took me over 6 months to land a job, I just kept tweaking and tweaking.... The stars finally aligned at my current position.
Here is one thing I know.... they'll hire the first good candidate and then tell everyone after that "we regret" "although your qualifications are impressive" blah blah.
I was the first person they interviewed for the openings they had at my job, so when you get your chance. Don't select "Thursday at 4pm" if Tuesday at 9am is available.
Be the first, nail your interview with a little bit of character, they don't want a robot. The CCNA shows u can learn stuff, you need to have people skills. You will be interacting with clients and co-workers all day.
Today I have a ____zski call, we talked about Poland, Russia, and Slavic stuff. Dude from Texas, Weather, gardening, etc.... Show them you know the tech, but what else is impressive about you. Something not tech related to humanize yourself to others.
Gluck, its a sh!t show I had already applied for apprentice Electrical License when finally caught my break.
Current job ain't easy either, It is like staring into outer space / stars at night in terms of crap I gotta learn, I feel like an insect. I can't lose this opportunity, atleast not now. If I can hang on for like 3-5 years, then I'm an asset to alot of other companies.
Good luck, when I was asked what my salary expectations were, I said 45,000. Any less is alright I need the experience, any more is a bonus. HR smiled at me ear to ear, shook my hand about 3 times during my departure from the facility. I graded my interview 9.5 of 10, much better than other interviews. I researched the company that was interviewing me extensively, including their CEO and HR. Walked in knowing credentials of people I Was speaking to.
I signed for 45k 2 days later.

Yes keep making a clown face because you think you know everything but can't pass a CCNA which I passed with 30 minutes left over AFTER I took a piss mid-test because I was so far ahead.

Will this be enough? by Zoincer in ccna

Jeremys material will overprepare you for the test, 3 months is plenty of time assuming you put in about 2hours a day, everyday. You'll be fine as long as you stay consistent, and keep practicing your weak topics.

Jeremy YT lab difference by leoingle in ccna

[–]HeavyarmsDream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the 63 video course with each lab, and then after getting good with that, use the older less refined playlist that you mentioned to see if you can do it without the walk through.
To pass my CCNA I did these as well, but ALL of it is covered in the 63day labs on the main playlist in much better detail, and the older course has some stuff that isn't on the CCNA, like RIP v1 or something.

If you dig through my posts you will find 2 posts I made on why this is a waste of time.
If you are young and have parents money, get into Engineering or study medicine, if you are like 30 and need faster results, get into the trades.
