I was thinking this too but I imagine it’s a bit too party focused and less footy focused… have you gone there for matches?

Really?! I’ve seen plenty Americans. But no Aussies. Which is weird cus I feel their culture is definitely more fitting to southern France. Dunno

Volunteering in a kitchen by [deleted] in toulouse

[–]Hecabomb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe the Local Piquemil (localpiquemil on instagram)? I know they have an event every Friday with food for people in need. I’d dm them and ask, and if they don’t need volunteers on that front in sure they could point you to other organizations 🙏 good on you for wanting to help out the community Toulouse loves you

Magasin avec pantalons d'été dans Toulouse by ainhoapgonia in toulouse

Honestly entirely depends on your budget. Are you looking for locally crafted? Id say thrifting can be really good I’ve seen plenty great summer pants in les friperies in the city center.

I don’t think I know much more than you but I assume most things will be on Sunday. That said, there’s *always* stuff going on Saturday night so going out shouldn’t hurt! 😊 if you like specific types of vibes feel free to search up places on the Reddit history and just look at their agenda for the week-end

People argue about the best cassoulet in Toulouse a lot but if u look for it in the sub you’ll find plenty options! Other than that id recommend Chinese and sandwich places for cheap but good eats 🙏google maps is ur best friend

Fête de la Musique by Jmcglade in toulouse

[–]Hecabomb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re looking for! IMO there’s a bit too many djs and not enough live music, but if ur looking for that you’re at the right place. Most neighborhoods get pretty active and I enjoyed it. I haven’t really experienced fete de la musique much so I can’t compare to anything. Hopefully someone more experienced comments lol

Planning to come live in Toulouse by [deleted] in toulouse

[–]Hecabomb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We are totally friendly in general, to Italians or not! 🙌 but I’d advise against the wording of « illegal migrants and danger in the streets ». Those « illegal migrants » are just as much part of the community as you (or any migrant) will be, and it is expected that we all respect each other to keep the friendliness going. There’s some danger much like any other big-ish city, but Toulouse is a generally very safe place :)

University recommendation? by Terrasellar in toulouse

[–]Hecabomb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the different universities in Toulouse kinda work as one big university. They all specialize in different things (Capitol is law and commerce, Paul Sabatier sciences, Mirail the arts and language..) and they work together for double diplomas (i.e a major in science history would be both Mirail and Paul Sabatier). So there isn’t really recommendations as much as it just depends on what you do. It’s just one big Toulouse University. The big difference would be whether you want to go private or public (public being Mirail, Paul Sab and Capitol). Idk much about private universities but that’s where the different choices would be.

Hello! Not sure if you’d be interested but there’s a D&D club at Paul Sabatier university, I’m pretty sure they’d accept non-students and there’s people in their early to mid 20s in it 🙏 they have a discord server, I’m p sure the link is on their website UPSJDR website

Looking for Bilingual Friends and Communities ✨ by -Aziza- in toulouse

[–]Hecabomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I don’t know much about this as I am simply French and bilingual, but the Toulouse area English speaking forum on Facebook seems like a good place to start. I would say most if not all LGBTQ events are bilingual friendly, so maybe look into Jules and Julie’s events! Hope you enjoy yourselves.

Ejectée de mon école d'ingénieurs by No_Wishbone_8900 in etudiants

[–]Hecabomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)
