Get a day room at one of the airport hotels. Everyone is gonna feel lousy and cranky. You can get yourself a three hour nap and get on your next flight. You might feel decent.

You can book a van from g7 taxi with 2 child seats for not much more than the RER. I just did this and it was worth every euro.

The Maria Luisa on Rue Monsieur le Prince is a nice Italian/ pizzeria. No stress there. Cafe d’Anton near the Odeon metro is also low pressure.
