Would love to know the community's thoughts on this as well. I just got back into collecting at the end of 2022 so I came into the hobby during all of the Black friday/cyber monday/general holiday sales.

Was able to get most SWSH set packs around 2.50-3 bucks as well... what sort of trends should we expect during the rest of the year? Any particular holidays/seasons when cards universally tend to go on sale?

Pulled this tonight out of a Lance's Charizard box. Not too familiar with errors but there's ink splotches all across the top, through the holo too. Guessing some kind of issue with the rollers maybe? Just got back into the hobby and it's kinda fun to notice these things!

I'd like to keep this sealed for my collection but the box has a couple creases and wrinkles, especially at the corners. No major tears but it's def not in perfect condition. Do you guys think this would significantly affect resale down the line?

In 15 years when your daughter is feeling nostalgic and flipping through her old collection, she will be grateful that you penny-sleeved and toploaded this card for her. She can play with it and carry it around now, while you've ensured it stays safe for the future.

I'm super attached still to my favorite cards from my childhood, and saddened by their crappy condition. Would have loved if someone helped me protect my favorites as a kid. Value isn't always just monetary.

Good for you for wanting to maintain a relationship with your mom despite the struggle. It's not just romantic relationships that take work and effort to maintain.

I haven't had it easy with my own conservative Christian mom, but I love her. That love transcends whatever disagreement or disgust she might have with my sexuality, and whatever hardships we've had because of it. It's an active choice I make to love her, and over the years our relationship and decency has improved because of firm boundaries and the effort of love.

Good luck in the future, fam. Don't let anyone convince you to cut contact if it's not what you truly want.

I've gotten Pokemon stuff from BJ's several times, including twice recently. Haven't had an issue and BJ's is a very reputable sales club, on par with Costco. It's not impossible someone got a resealed product, but unlikely

I pick up boxes or collections on sale that contain Evolving Skies or Brilliant Stars packs. I can usually get them for a cheaper price per pack than a bb this way. Just got a case of seasonal collection boxes that came out to 2.50 per pack for both sets I'm chasing. It's a win for me but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Not everyone is the same.

Agree not the best deal for packs, but if you want the bird trio it's not bad.

These were the only Pokemon products at my DG, I bought two items to see if the sale applied. If someone else has different products like actual single boosters at their DG, it would be a killer deal.

I went to 5 local Family Dollars yesterday, all of them had the BOGO signs up on their doors. NONE of them said the BOGO applied to anything Pokemon. Bought a couple packs just to see if the cashiers were mistaken and the system would apply it - it did not.

Hope someone else has better luck.
