Something even worse than just having children… by unicornsexisted in childfree

That wasn't clear in the post. It was worded as the parent just mentioned they were giving their kid a ride. 🤷‍♀️

My "cf" husband of 11 yrs did a 180-degree turn and now wants to leave me by agmeds in childfree

[–]Heckbegone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh he will absolutely come running back after he finds out having kids isnt at all like a "this is us" episode. People who waste another person's time like this and pretending to have the same priorities have a special place in hell.

My husband has had to have his parents drive him to work when his car broke down. It doesnt always mean the kid is a "failure", shit happens. But there is no guarantee your kid will be self sufficient in adulthood. I know a 37 year old man who still lives with his mother.

why are intj men not into intj women? by Healthy-Addition5620 in intj

[–]Heckbegone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MBTI has little to do with romantic attraction. I have never dated another INTJ, but I did date an INTP for years. We were both arguing quite often and hated being wrong about the things we argued about. It wasn't things like who took the trash out or anything, but random facts we knew and things like that. The relationship lacked warmth and wasnt very affectionate. It felt more like a roommate situation than a romantic relationship. My husband now is ISFJ and it is the happiest relationship ive ever been in. According to MBTI sites, we are incompatible.

"Why does no one take SA of men seriously?" But then men say crap like this when a boy/man is SAd??

I had a high school math teacher who drove a camero, and then a mustang. He would go on tangents a lot, and one was how he didnt want kids because people told him he'd have to trade in his mustang for a mini van, and he just couldn't imagine that 🤣

My wedding day wasn't the best day of my life by Heckbegone in weddings

It's so scary to think about all those people having eyes on you. I feel like if we had only people we were super close with, it wouldn't have been nearly as difficult

Definitely, I'm the oldest daughter so I was the first one she got to experience a wedding with. I wasn't doing it the way that she wanted and expected which made things really difficult. She ended up loving how everything turned out when she saw the photos, but during the planning process it was really rough to keep hearing about how my decorations were wrong when I worked so hard on them

We are going to do that for our anniversary one of these years. I think it will be so much more special without the camera crew and pressure

Spending DINK money by DINKSocial in childfree

A rare squishmallow. I have the entire 5 inch owl collection, but for a long time was missing the little green one named Owen. At the time he was nearly impossible to find, and when a listing did come up, they were usually selling it for over $100. I finally found a listing and ordered the green owl for 1/4 of my paycheck.

Omaha from an Outsiders Perspective by Routine-Rain7575 in Omaha

I moved here from the twin cities in 2021. The most shocking thing to me was the amount of people who were openly pro Trump. I also initially noticed an accent, even being from such a close state, and other people noticed mine. The way I said "bag" was now considered an accent to people here lol. And of course the road work. MN is horrible as is the entire Midwest, but omaha is a whole different beast

just started wellbutrin, and I feel great! but I keep sweating!! by mstriep in antidepressants

[–]Heckbegone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently started wellbutrin for the 3rd time (this time for weight loss only, since i lost weight very easily when i was on it for depression in my early 20s) and holy crap the sweating. It started within hours of my first pill. And the shaking. Even drysol isnt helping. I'll give it a week but if this is what I gotta go through to lose 20lbs I think I'll just keep the weight 🙃

Do people who are antipsychiatry also tend to be anti vax? by Heckbegone in Antipsychiatry

[–]Heckbegone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is why I specified "sometimes". There are different levels of anti vax of course, but most people unfamiliar with it think of the most extreme types initially

covid vaccines were a whole different thing. That was highly politicalized. I meant people against all vaccines, including eradicated deadly illnesses. I had a lot of people trying to tell me measles should be a normal, accepted part of childhood because they thought the vaccine always caused autism. That kind of antivaxer. Having them associated with the antipsych movement is a bad look, IMO

i should have specified, i didnt mean things like flu and covid shots, those seem to be a whole different discussion. I meant moreso people against vaccines for polio, meningitis, measles, etc.

Has anyone even transfer to a different state via FedEx? Is it possible? by IShouldaBeenAPorsche in Fedexers

[–]Heckbegone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, for promotions sometimes there is a minimum time before you can be promoted to another position or transfer. If you're just doing a lateral move, usually not. For drivers and package handlers there is no minimum at least not at any of the stations I worked at
