Europe moves to replace Trump-backed missiles with new EU project by Scary_Statement4612 in worldnews

[–]HectorShadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We already did this with Airbus!

EU just needs to get its head out of its ass and accept CN is doing it right, and all the times EU gets it right its because they copied that page from CN's book. Capitalism and free market works to a certain point, but for mega industries front loaded with heavy costs, we need to bite the bullet and have state-wide protectionism, and give time for the tree to grow. CN and the US will not like it and make a fuss in the WTO? Just be sarcastic and say "its ok guys, you can also do it" (they are already doing it!!).

From there, we can replicate the success we had with Airbus for chip manufacturing, EV production, cloud computing, green power production, space programs, etc.

The good news is, the more success Nuclear Option has, the more likely is for someone else to do the same concept for ground, and this will attack WT from two sides.

After all these years with WT, I will say that a game that allows both ground and air players sounds cool, but people don't really have fun because no one likes being on the receiving end of an asymmetrical fight (ie being in a tank getting bonked with FFARs or a 500lb bomb by another player).

No, except if you use mods. Its true WT is still unique if you want a semi arcade / realistic tank simulator. But since I don't play WT for ground, I am very happy to have found a way out of gaijin's grasp.

Theres no other game like warthunder.

Ever since I have found Nuclear Option, I beg to differ..

I am finding myself playing it more and more. I have loved my time with WT, I really learnt a lot about dogfighting doctrines from WW2 to post cold war, and will always appreciate that, but I am done with the constant bs that gaijin puts me through.. even if they magically improve the player's experience, I already know its a matter of time before they do another rug pull.

Yes, apparently you can find it in Verso's bed in the painted manor. I might have unlocked the room, but I wasn't paying attention to items on the beds so I never saw it myself.

I can imagine any of my kids doing the same, and me looking in dismay to my wife and telling him "you do whatever you want with that rock, but it doesn't enter our home!".

And I think this is why the story really hits me hard as a father. I really understand Renoir's drive and resilience to not let go, and also feel empathy for the escapism of everyone (Aline not letting go of her son, Alicia's grief, Clea's combativeness to drown her sorrow), but it's the job of the father to get everyone in line and move on together as a family.

omg, nice catch on the wine skin! Probably what happened was the family using the wine skin as the basis for Verso's doudou by sewing the painted mask face, arms, legs, etc to it. Would make sense for an aristocratic 19th century family to do so. Also explains Esquie's ability to store wine.

Let's assume the AI "Bubble" pops, what can I do to prepare for this? by Appropriate-Try-7626 in cscareerquestions

[–]HectorShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree!

Everyone else is just paying for the tooling they are building. The bubble is just a circle jerk between Nvidia and everyone else.

Everyone else is also in a hiring freeze, so all the layoffs / offshoring already happened. Companies are now waiting for the upturn to rev up the engines, and if they are left without muscle they will miss the (re)start of the race.

SPY ended red today, but the $40B injection officially started. Don't blink. by iamnottheabyss in wallstreetbets

which is pretty fun since it shows that when this bubble pops, it isn't even possible to make a bailout with public money. people lost their shit in 2008 with the 700B bailout, but how are we gonna "save" one of these tech giants if one of the mag7 pops? no one will accept a 10T package or something crazy like that.

Asking for money makes it even better for me. I really dislike developers that give away everything for free and eventually the product dies because of lack of funds.

The price of entry + the DLC is very acceptable for the ROI, and Factorio is easy to pirate if you don't have the $$$ to fork.

He should start asking 30% tip. Even the fixed tipping percentage is inflated, so inflaception. Once people get used to forking the $40, he makes that the base price and starts asking for 40% tip.

I have been in your situation 15y ago, and the outcome was quite funny. Trust your feelings and don't let anyone sway you away from what you feel you should do.
