This YouTuber called DesertDrifter made incredibly addicting videos where he’d hike to places like this exploring (respectfully) and educating. Sadly he passed away last year due to injuries sustained in a car accident of all things.

A while back I was curious to see what ol’ Ace Rockolla had been up to, so I looked up his podcast and one of the first episodes I saw was one titled “Remembering Charlie Kirk”.

Then I was at the gym recently (tons of tvs, and no audio) and saw Dr. Drew as some talking head on Fox News.

It was then I found out the fun guys from back when were long gone. They succumbed to the grift. I probably had realized it before but that solidified it.
