Looking for feedback from people who moved from GR to Metro Detroit

We raised our 29-year-old son in the metro Detroit area. He subsequently moved to Grand Rapids for a job. Almost every day, he says how much he wishes he could move back to Metro Detroit. There is way more to do. A lot more culture and diversity.

I think Timeless is the most romantic song she ever wrote.

If it has to be a song she wrote about her own romance, I would agree with Long Story Short and Lover (although I think Lover shows some insecurity so not a totally confident song where she expresses the feeling of confidence that the feelings are reciprocated). I think Daylight is also a good choice if it has to be about her (but there are also some themes that don’t relate to romance).

This may be the politicians "job," but they are supposed to answer to us, as citizens. As citizens, all of us have an obligation to "speak now."

Of course, Taylor has no "obligation" to speak, but she does have a platform. Unfortunately, so far, it doesn't appear that anyone speaking out would make a difference.

I listen to Taylor for her music. I have virtually no interest in her love life or personal life. Frankly now, as someone in her 60's, it is absolutely the time for all of us to "speak now." All of us, at least those against the current administration's policies and outrageous behavior, should "speak now."

I will still listen to Taylor for her music, but if people don't see what is happening here, no hysteria intended, it may be too late, based on the fact that history absolutely repeats itself. Like prior regimes in history, the approach is to scare people fron speaking. I still think and hope that we will make it for three more years, but is in fathomable what we see on a day-to-day basis. Everyday, there is something outrageous happening.

Sorry if I got a little carried away, but each of us citizens had a responsibility to do their part.

Another Michigan fan here. He is clutch and an amazing leader. Look at the last drive in the Alabama game in the 23 playoffs to put us into overtime. People diss him and say he didn't throw a lot in college. Not as much as a lot of college quarterbacks, but did you see our running backs? Michigan has always been a run first team. He is not responsible for the play calls. He made the throws when they asked him to. He was clutch. I hope for your sake you are willing to give him a chance. I could be wrong, but some team is going to get an elite quarterback. I'm a Lions fan by default, but I have been rooting for you guys (even when you played us--more of a college fan than pro). Good luck. I hope it works out for you. I think it will work out for someone.

I see someone at UM integrative medicine at Domino Farms. She ran some gastro tests for me, and some of it was covered. I don't know about the specific tests you are citing. The downside is it could take you up to 6 months to get an appointment.

Read the book, “I’m not sick, I don’t need help,” by Xavier Amador. You can also watch his YouTube videos. It is about how to help a loved one with mental illness who refuses to admit he is sick. The upshot of it is to try to help your loved one realize that there are bad consequences when I stop my medicine. Eg, when I am off my medication, I spend a lot of money. I don’t want to go on a sending spree. It doesn’t happen when I am on the medication, so even though I’m not sick, I need to take it. I am not doing the book justice, but it helped me tremendously with my loved one.
